The term cookie when applied to Nabisco Pinwheels is not precisely accurate. Pinwheels are more an almost cake base topped with marshmallow cream and chocolate coated over all. Nabisco Pinwheel chocolate and marshmallow cookies from Kraft packaged in a 12 ounce box are offered as a single package or multi packs. Elegant chocolate, marshmallow and cookie treats.

This classic cookie has been reformulated and the new version is terrible
This classic cookie has been reformulated and the new version is terrible. Very much a shame. If it says "Pure Chocolate" on the package, it is the old good product (hopefully not stale). If it says "Fudge" instead of "Chocolate", pass it by, it is junk. The photos shown here at the time of this writing are of the old product, which I doubt is what they can ship you. If you buy, pre-verify it is the "Pure chocolate" product. Return it immediately if you receive any that say "Fudge" instead of "Pure Chocolate".

and the guilty pleasure cookie I have loved since childhood -- tawdry
Once upon a time, this was a superb product. Nabisco has decided to cut corners, however, and the guilty pleasure cookie I have loved since childhood -- tawdry, embarrassing, delicious -- is now a thing best described in terms one wouldn't want children exposed to. PG13 version: for packaging, they've done away with the individualized protective dividers under the smokescreen cover description "4 per row now but still the same number of cookies!" or some such (I ate two, a second just to make sure, then threw them out and no longer have the item and its accompanying literature); more damaging, though, they've downgraded the ingredients (a fellow reviewer notes the change from "pure chocolate" to the dubious "fudge" on the new ingredients list), with the result being that PINWHEELS NOW TASTE LIKE fill in the blank with your darkest epithet. "Nabisco Ships 600 Jobs Out of Chicago to Mexico" is one of numerous like-oriented headlines to greet the erstwhile devotee who Googles the issue of Nabisco and quality control. So, not only cheaper labor but cheaper ingredients too. Spoiler alert: there is much good chocolate to be had in Mexico. You could've saved money on labor and still be producing a quality product. What's next to fall, Oreos?

For a long time these were by far our favorite cookie. Today we bought another package - NEW RECIPE - the successor to nabisco has apparently been having a lot of recent quality problems but this is a self inflicted wound. The chocolate covering is no longer the low parafin high quality dark chocolate but a far cheaper covering. Waxy tasting, This is now a $2.00 package of cookies they still want $5.34 for. Long time admirers of pinwheels BEWARE, they're now history. The "new recipe" has resulted in the mediocrity mondeleze is known for , Save your money, look for another alternative.
