Incredible daily devotional for young ladies!
we do this devotional as a family, i would say- there are some quizzes as a parent- you may have to swallow your pride -GULP- on and hear the daughters heart on… it may not be your perception, but it is how they are feeling. so i just apologized for any area she flag i failed her and asked how we can change that perception..remember- this book is about them growing ! i am very pleased with the intent & design, it is designed to have the Daughter see her part as a Godly daughter of the Most High! we do them together as a family. even my 9 year old is now creating lists to achieve her goals as a person. only other thing, it has some prompts about “maybe you lie or sneak out” - which our girls don’t… (i did as a kid) so i openly share how scary that is in todays world - that could lead to some fatal or long lasting consequences… the book doesn’t shy away from the tendencies of this generation- so if you have a more guarded home, just be aware, and i will say, they are all topics worthy of discussion, as they will encounter other teens struggling with these things and it equips them with making choices as well as being mighty Truth speakers into the lives of their friends. This book opens the discussion for humble Truthful conversations on how our daughters can be excellent decision makers and frames consequences of choices i wish i had as a teen. there are many faith strengthening and accountability lessons. i highly recommend! my cautions are simply to be sure to discuss in love the sensitive topics that may cause an offense in our proud parental hearts. i didn’t agree with my daughters perspective- but her feeling are valid & wanted to know how we could change that perspective and that was easy, nothing is more important than strengthening their relationship to God! so i can lay down my pride… and we need to be discussing how some teens do rebel..

Not for tweens or young teens
I read through a few pages to see if this was appropriate for my 12 year old. It wasn’t, it’s much more geared toward older teens. The first page mentions growing into adulthood, few pages in and it talks about using social media like Snapchat (maybe I’m just a lame mom that doesn’t let her tween use social apps like Snapchat?). It mentions sex here and there, and sexy boys…it just wasn’t meant for younger teens/tweens. If my daughter were older I’d give it to her though. They quizzes and tasks throughout the books seem engaging and based on making the correct decisions and following god.

This was a gift to my granddaughter that has had much trouble in her life at such a short life. She is 16. She enjoyed this work book so much ( and finished it) and is requesting more of the same. I couldn’t be happier.
