Wildcard Cookbook for Microsoft Word

This book is a great introduction to wildcards in Microsoft Word and serves as a handy reference on my desk when I need to do complex find and replace in documents. I'm happy to have purchased this book.

I don't understand everything in the book but I also don't need to use everything in the book. But every time I learn something new from the book I am absolutely delighted! As an editor and translator, shortcuts on Word are a huge timesaver. So thank you Jack Lyon for taking the time to write this book and teach me many new things that I didn't know!

At a slim 104 pages, it is concise and written in a breezy style. If I left it on the train, I'd buy it again.

This book is incredibly practical, straightforward and clear, just the right amount of information to be understood well enough to use without being redundant. Recently it was among 5 books I ordered to help me write some macros for Word. This one helped me write or record rather simple macros rather than the complex loops I first envisioned. Even though I had used wildcards in the past, I was unaware of some of the ones explained in this book.

Can't live without this book, especially if you are an Editor or even as a writer. Who knew MSWord was so deep. Thank you, Jack Lyon.

With this book, I am finally figuring out wildcards!

This book is useful if you are interested in learning the innards of Find and replace dialog box in MS Word. I bought a copy off Amazon.in and though it arrived a bit late because it had to be imported basically I am okay with it though not that happy because it is expensive (new book just published in the States)
