Concrobium25326CAL Mold Control Spray, 32 oz

I used this Concrobium to kill the mildew smell inside a circa 1960s drop front type desk with cubbies and drawers inside. I did it in two stages. In the first stage, I applied it with a paintbrush to all the bare wood and wiped off the excess to clean it, and much grime did come off. I removed and treated the drawers first, two large ones, and five small ones from the inside. After doing the first stage cleaning, I let them dry and then followed with a second coating to treat the cleaned wood. I was generous with the product, but was sure to wipe off the excess so as not to over soak the wood(which I probably did anyway), and so there would be no powdery residue left from the product.I approached the desk cabinet itself in the same way. One coat and wipe down to clean, let it dry, and then a second coat and wipe down to kill the mildew smell. I brushed it on all the bare wood surfaces, including the back and underneath of the desk, inside the large drawer openings, and inside each cubby, and each cubby drawer opening, then wiped off the excess. I left everything to dry for a couple of days, even though it didn't need that long, because the product stated that it actually kills the mold during drying process.The wood was very dry afterward and needed moisturizing/conditioning. I brushed on a generous layer(and wiped off the excess) of "Howard's Feed-N-Wax" wood conditioner which I bought at Ace Hardware. I let it sit a couple of days, then wiped it off any further remaining excess. Fyi, I used way too much I because I had to wipe it down several times with days in between before all the excess came to the surface wiped and the wood has some over saturated spots of conditioner...so I dodged a bullet of comprising the wood integrity by over conditioning...The results were so rewarding. There is virtually no mildew smell left within the desk at all. I am using the desk as well, so it is not being left closed up. The desk had been stored in a garage for 18 years. It didn't have visible mildew but smelled horribly. I believe the product was successful because instead of spraying it on, I used a brush to apply it which gave better coverage, and deeper absorption. Also I brushed it on twice. First time to clean it, and second time to treat it. And because I was sure to wipe the wood down both times afterwards which removed a lot of grime on to the rags. Wiping down will also assure there will be no white residue remaining as the manufacturer warned in their instructions.In my opinion, simply spraying on the product would not have been enough coverage to get deep into enough the wood and kill the mildew for this particular desk. The wood felt very dry after I treated it but the desk already needed conditioning. I probably used more of both products than was ideal, particularly the conditioner because I haven't worked with furniture before.I am so glad to have found this product that is safe to use, has no chemical smell and can be used on wood. I was very fond of the desk as my mom used it regularly when I was growing up and I wanted to keep it after she passed. Before trying it myself, I actually hired a refinisher to clean it but he couldn't remove the smell. He said he didn't know of any product for removing mildew on furniture. This product is also used for commercial cleanup, for example, for killing mildew after a flooding event. Wood, carpet, fabric, etc.

This stuff is awesome! We live near the Ocean and have a lot of issues with mold, especially in the closet areas. I've scrubbed my walls down to get rid of the mold then saturate the walls with this solution and keep the fans on till the wall dries. I usually treat my closets after every season is over. It really is mold resistant.

It works helps to stop and clean up when bleech would smell bad. I just bought this I had spray can. Too small.

I am still in shock at how well this spray works. It is well worth the crappy spray nozzle.I used it on a rug that apparently didn't dry enough after shampooing and had the telltale stinky feet/cat pee black mold smell. I had learned my lesson before that vinegar etc do not work, and had to throw out a previous rug. This time I was like, in 2024, there has to be something. I'm SO GLAD I found this and could get it the next day as mold spores can spread throughout the home fast.I vacuumed the rug outside, sprayed this stuff over it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything, and elevated it on some chairs to let it dry with an oscillating fan. Moved it inside with the same set up for the night, and was worried because it still had the smell. By morning, there was NO SMELL WHATSOEVER. I literally cannot believe it.Note: the sprayer mechanism sucks. It really does. Just go ahead and pour this liquid into another bottle whose sprayer works better and use it that way. Believe me when I say IT IS WORTH IT.I will continue using this any time I sense a mold smell!!!

Sprayed one time and mold gone. Love it!

I didn’t read the label carefully. This does not KILL your mold. IT REMOVES AND PREVENTS AGAINST mold. Not realizing this, I followed the directions and sprayed it on the thin brown mold on my bathroom ceiling. Yes it loosened it up. Looked like thin brown muck much darker than it began. So I wiped it off and used a grocery store brand bleach spray instead. Now ceiling is WHITE.Soo it DOES work well to loosen it off the surface. But it is NOT for KILLING mold.

We had a mold odor from our cold air return in our master closet. Lysol spray one day followed by this on the second seemed to work.Pros:It seems to work. The odor from the cold air return is gone. Will use in the future once a month for insurance.Cons:The propellant in the spray can ran out prematurely. I then bought the hand pump version which i like for the 5 star rating.

I was excited to have a product that may eliminate my issues with mold reoccurring in our shower room but it made the issue worse and did not remove any of the mold. In the end, I had to use bleach, to kill the mold. Please do not waste your money or time.
