Awesome Mediation How To - No Doubt
Without a doubt and without a hint of reservation, this is the hands down best book on meditation that I have come across. Light is an awesome teacher because he knows how to teach. Highly recommended.

Insightful, Kind, Humorous Approach to Meditation
I am a subscriber to Light’s “Daily Dose of Inspiration” and each day it seems the inspirations are written specifically for me. Each one makes a positive impact in my life. It was through on of the Daily Dose of Inspiration that I learned of Bliss More. I pre-ordered the book because I adore the good that Light Watkins is bringing into this world and I wanted to support that effort. I never intended to read the book because I have been a daily meditator for years, I enjoy and prioritize my meditation practice and I know (or thought I knew) the fundamentals. I learned Light was going to do a 21 Day Mediation Challenge with reading assignments in the book. I thought this would be a good way for me to ensure I read the book. I requested to be part of the challenge and was accepted. I had no expectations, but was open to learning something new. Oh boy, to my utter surprise, I have LOVED every day of the 21 day challenge. Light has stripped away all the mysticism about meditation by sharing his own struggles with mediation and using humor to illustrate how chatty our minds can be during meditation. I laughed out loud reading about the random thoughts that pop up during meditation. My brain somethings can be super chatty during meditations and I have never had a technique that works every time for dealing with a chatty mind of random thoughts. The E.A,S.Y. approach that Light teaches in this book is life transforming. It is a useful tool for mediation and for life in general. I have used it outside of mediation and can attest that it works. I am of the age where hot flashes are something I have to deal with. When I feel a hot flash coming on, I just go into E.A.S.Y. mode and, like a miracle drug, hot flash vanishes.Oh, back to mediating, my meditations have improved in the following ways: (1) I used to use a soft alarm to let me know when my mediation had ended. Light treaches us to rely on our own internal clock, no alarms. I no longer use an alarm and happen to check my clock almost at 20 minutes on the dot each time. (2) I have more minutes of my mediation in which my mind is completely settled and quiet. I only become aware after the mediation that it was mostly quiet. (3) the time in meditation seems to go by quickly. I am never thinking about the fact that I am mediating or how much time has gone by. I organically feel the 20 minutes has passed without any other thoughts about time during my mediation. To conclude, Light Watkins is a brilliant mediation teacher and technique he teaches in this book can truly turn anyone and everyone into a daily mediator. I know from experience that mediation increase feelings of wellbeing and peace. Living from this vintage is the best way to change the world.

Best meditation book I've read
I've meditated for several years and have read a variety of books by excellent, well-known teachers. All the books were worthwhile, but Bliss More was what I was looking for that I could not find in any of the other books. Specifically, I was very eager to try a mantra-based meditation similar (or exactly like) TM but there is, rather famously, no such book because TM is strictly passed down from teacher to pupil in person. While I don't have a problem with this business model (and it is, at least in part, a business model), I was not ready to spend $1,000 on TM classes. The reason I was interested in moving from mindfulness-based meditation to mantra-based is because whenever I listen to Dan Harris's 10% Happier podcasts (which I love), the mindfulness meditators frequently remark on how difficult it is, while the occasional mantra meditators he hosts always comment on how easy it is. I not only wanted easy, but I also believed that it in fact could and should be easy. (Note: There are some wonderful things to be gained from mindfulness meditation, and I incorporate what I've learned from it into my life and still use this type of meditation some).Light Watkins's book spells out exactly what I wanted to know. I've been meditating the EASY way (as he calls it) twice a day for six weeks, and it is so helpful. Although I am not a morning person and put sleep as a priority, I get up 30 minutes early to meditate and find it is more beneficial than the extra 30 minutes of sleep. The pause I take in the late afternoon is meaningful, too. I read the book twice to really take it all in. My teenage son is going to take it on as a school project and my 81-year-old mother, after glancing through it, has ordered a copy.My only suggestion is that there were too few questions and answers in the Q&A section. I could suggest several more that I'm sure many people, including myself, would ask. Thank you, Light Watkins!

Powerful Technique
I have practiced regular old mindfulness meditation for many years, and while it was helpful and fulfilling in its own way, I felt that the benefits it brought to my life came relatively slowly.I first heard Light Watkins speak on Dan Harris’ 10% Happier Podcast, and I was intrigued by the way he described his method of meditation and using a settling sound (he probably wouldn’t want to call it a mantra but it basically is a mantra) to calm the mind.I have mild anxiety and depression, and a few days later I was feeling a little down one evening and couldn’t seem to shake it so I decided to give Light’s meditation technique a try (this is before I bought the book or anything - mostly untrained just going by what I heard on the podcast). I sat down and started doing it and I was amazed when a few minutes later I felt my mind and body settling in a way I had never experienced before. It felt like I had been dropped into an ocean of peace and relaxation. My stress and depression vanished and even after I stopped meditating the feeling of relaxation and contentment stuck with me for hours.Needless to say I bought Light’s book the very next day. I’ve been following his technique for a couple of weeks now and have been getting pretty consistent results similar to the first time I tried it. Light’s technique is incredibly easy to practice and it honestly has greatly improved my meditation and brought more of the benefits of regular meditation to the rest of my life. Disclaimer: the book has some new-agey comments that I am skeptical of here and there, but the core technique Light describes is solid and down to earth.Highly recommended for beginners or for experienced meditators.

Not impressed
Rather disappointing and not very effective methods. TM feels a bit like a sect. There are so many better books on meditation and bliss - don’t get this one - look further.

A Game Changer!
Absolutely fantastic!!Probably the best book I have read in a long time!! In terms of the meditation and technique and the writing style in the actual book.I ordered this by kindle after listening to Light speak with Dr Rangan Chatterjee on his podcast. I was drawn to Light, and taken by how ‘normal’ - how honest and down to earth he came over.I have been meditating on and off for a long time and always found it to be such a chore that I would do it for a few weeks, intending to build it as a 30 day habit then find I forget one day and or miss it as a one off and then before I know it 3 weeks have passed since I last meditated.I only started Light’s technique a week ago and WOW! What a difference! I am craving a meditation session and suddenly it is not an effort to find the time! It has blown my mind how blissful meditation can be!The only negative (of course not a real negative) is that he advises not to do more than 2 practices day and I am finding I want to do more already. I haven’t read all the way to the end of the book yet so I might understand why he advises when I have completed the book.He gives you the technique pretty much right at the beginning of the book so you start off right away and then read the theory thereafter. I really like that, I often find it frustrating to have to read a whole book before you can get to the actual important bit!Light’s writing style is casual and full of stories of his own experiences. He is really easy to relate to and comes across as a really nice person and as I said, honest and down to earth, which I definitely think helps ‘normal’ people like myself and many feel more able to access and use meditation. I love app’s like calm and insight timer and recommend them all of the time, but I sometimes think that the speakers can be a tiny bit off putting because they all sound and look ‘super chill’ and ‘zen like’ and most people just aren’t like that and it sets too high of an ideal for many people.Anyhow, I rarely write reviews unless I have been especially impressed or disgruntled. So my effort to review, speaks volumes.Thank you Light for writing this book and sharing this technique. I am already excited to read your next book ‘Knowing where to look’. It is next on my list for sure!

Want to meditate? This is the only book you need.
I bought Bliss More in March 2020 and I’ve read and re-read it. Now, in March 2021 I’ve been meditating twice a day with the method it describes and have realized I’ve undertaken a very interesting journey, and I’m very grateful to Light Watkins for having written it. The method described is simple, direct, and modern, written by a man who has studied with authentic masters and who, as he says, has been teaching for many years, so he knows how to convey concepts so anyone can understand how to meditate.

The best guide for learning meditation the "easy" way. And yes, there is an easy way!
Love this book and love the audio book version even more. The author has a great natural way of speaking to his audience and makes you laugh along the way. He takes the "shame" out of "not meditating perfectly" like we're used to reading or hearing about. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to get into meditating in the easiest, most natural way!

Meditation for Beginners
Light Watkins created something great with this book! He explains how to meditate correct without having troubles or thinking that you meditate wrong. He describes exactly the problems I had: Thinking that I meditate wrong or that something with me was wrong because I didn't felt bliss while meditating or because my thoughts wouldn't stop. After reading a few pages Light explains exactly why this feelings appeared and described exactly how you are able to meditate with feeling the bliss. It helped me a a lot and for the first time I am actually able to meditate every day without having troubles. I never thought that I would be able to do so but thank to Light it is indeed possible!Bliss more is a helpful book for everyone who struggles with meditation, I definitely recommend it! It will help you!
