RCA RPJ143-Black 480p Home Theater Projector Supports 1080p w/HDMI & Bluetooth 5.0 (Renewed)

I'd been searching for a couple of small projectors to use for outside decorating (AtmosFx style). I came across these RCA refurbs and given that they are at least from a major known company (RCA as opposed to all of the Chinese branded ones) at this price I gave it shot.I have to say, I am REALLY impressed at this price point. Now understand, I am a Home theater enthusiast and built an actual theater in my basement and I have had a couple of high end projectors, so I bought these with my eyes wide open. Would I use them in my theater for HD content, no. These are standard def 480P. The nice thing is that they accept up to 1080P and down convert to 480P. So for my purpose of projecting content outside, the 480P is fine and the picture is really bright. A couple of years ago I bought a small projector to use and at $20 more than these, it is basically a toy and barely viewable for my purpose, even during a dark night. The built in speaker in these is really pretty good, too, again, enough for my purpose. When I received the package, I opened it up and tested in my home office in daylight, and was amazed at the brightness. I could clearly see everything on the menu screen for setup, so I tried it with my content and it was quite viewable in daylight. The other nice thing for my purpose is that it can read content off of microSD and loops the content.So, Instead having to set up a projector, a DVD player, an amp and speakers, I can load this baby with the correct microSD card and set it outside and be done.I bought two, so that if I liked it, I wouldn't have to go back and buy another. I liked it so much, I just bought 2 more! Since these are refurbs (OK, "renewed"), you might have to hurry. I'm guessing there may be a newer model, but if there is, I haven' tried it. If I ever need to replace these and they are no longer available, I will certainly be looking for it.

Great deal for the price! Looks nice and minimalist and works great. I’ve been using this for a few days with a Roku Stick and so far so good. Speakers aren’t the best but they are decent.

I don’t understand what is meant by “thickness”, but I guess, yeah, this is one THICK projector! So think you’d take it home to meet your momma. Brightness is what you’d expect, no complaints there- however the picture quality to the one thing that left me wanting. I must not have wanted too badly though, seeing as I did not want to spend the money on a projector with higher resolution. The adage “you get what you pay for” rings true here, as it does in most other aspects of life. If you want something cheap to throw some movies on the wall, get this. If you need high resolution to trace intricate drawings, you’ll need to spend more.

We really enjoy this RCA projector for our summer yard movies.Bluetooth only works on certain devices.I recommend this product easy to use and set up

Blue tooth never worked and audio output never worked. Very disappointed.

No speaker, the connection is ok but the quality is only mediocre

This projector is perfect, just what I'd hoped for. I dont need a screen, the wall works perfectly fine as it's an off white color and the sound is perfect as well because it's over my bed and doesn't need to be too loud. I disconnected my bluetooth speaker because it was too loud.
