Must have… drone runs cooler!
One thing I found out that I never expected is my drone is cooler when I bring it back. I think this also acts as a cooler bringing air in through the front. Doesn’t seem to affect the way it flys at all. So it serves 2 purposes to me…. Protects gimbal and battery and drone are cooler upon return.

Good, not great. But good value for the money.
Does a good job as a sun shield when you need it. Only problem is that it gets into the shot sometimes along the edges.

great item, but....
It is meant to stay on the drone while flying. But it then puts the Mavic Mini over the weight limit at 251 grams!! It does protect the camera and gimbal, and I see no difference in the drones flying. The stock cover is to be removed before flight, but this cover is meant for use while flying, thus adding weight while flying. My Mavic Mini weighs 247 grams without the protection, and 251 with the protection on.

Fits Perfectly
I lost the gimbal/camera protector for my DJI Mini 2 the very first outing. I thought I would find a replacement on the DJI website, but no go. I really didn’t expect this protector to be as good as OEM, but it is. It fits perfectly.

It definitely helps on keeping some of that straight glare when you’re into the sun from streaking across your photo Another added benefit the extensions on the bottom of the shade kind of act like landing gear extension of sorts and also help keep the gimbal up off the ground well keep it from being so close

DO NOT USE on the mIni-2
Unless someone can explain to me how the drone ‘knows’ it has the hood on, and then restricts flight distance and altitude (yes, it does on the mini 2), then do NOT buy this for your mini 2. Strangely, I took it off, and without doing any rests, I was able to fly farther and higher… I had to look it up online to see that putting a camera hood on automatically puts flight restrictions on? I’m not sure how, but if someone has a way to over-ride this function, let me know and I’ll give it a higher rating.
