Philips GC1905 1440-Watt Steam Iron with Spray (Blue) & AC2887/20 High Efficiency Air Purifier, removes 99.97% Airborne pollutants with Numerical PM Combo

After doing some research I narrowed my choices to Phillips 2887 and Honeywell. honeywell is a very good brand and very trusted brand. I didn't buy it for the only reason that it didn't have a true hepa. the second choice is this phillips, the point I didn't like about this brand is the placement of carbon filter, ideally it should be behind HEPA not infront as in this. i don't know why they missed this simple point, or they must have some reason for this which I don't know.I brought this product yesterday from Bajaj electronics, who sold me this for 19000. It's too early to write a review, as I have used it only for 1day.There is a difference in the quality of air that we were breathing, even though I can't independently quantify that result.When I switched on for the first time pm2.5 indicator was showing 130, with half hour of usage it came down to 70. But the whole night the indicator never came to blue and the pm2.5 levels were around 50. Don't know why? Can anyone tell me whether it will be like that or we can expect it to comedown further?Will write more review after using it for few months.Update: after using it for a week, now I know the mistake I was making. Initially I was running the machine only in auto mode, that never used to reduce the pm2.5 to below 50.now I am running it in turbo mode for sometime, then I am switching it to fan level 3 for the whole night. By this the levels were coming down to 10.Now about the feeling of quality of Air, I can tell you that I am feeling better and my quality of sleep has never been better.A big note: I am a DoctorUpdate 2: after 2wks of use I found out that pre filter is not of very good quality, as I am feeling it's not catching enough dust. I took out pre filter and carbon filter and kept it in sun for an hour and gave gentle tap, by this lots of finer particles got released. So conclusion: clean your carbon filter and prefilter, frequently every 10 days. HEPA filter also turned black somewhat with in 10days, and I am staying in Hyderabad. So this means even Hyderabad air is also not good quality.Review after 5months usage: This is to report a strange problem that I am experiencing recently. I am getting burnt smell of exhaust air from airpurifier. I have removed all the filters and sun dried and put them back. Still that smell is persisting. Don't know the cause of it. Filters all are working fine since 5months. AQI is also normal. Will update you all as soon as I get to know the reason.That burnt smell gone after few days, after I kept HEPA filter in sun.Update @1yr - now I have decided to change both carbon filter and HEPA, my old filters are still working fine, AQI is also normal.Update on 9th February- 2019: I am still using this product, it is working fine after 2+years of use.Update December 2019- i am still using this purifier, it is working good. It has been 3years since I purchased it.

I would sincerely advise all buyer who intends to buy Philips products from Amazon not to buy. The reason being Philips is providing all seconds products to Amazon. I bought one Air Purifier on the 9th March,2019 and within 2 months the rubberised frame of the charcoal filter started to crack from many places and at the bottom of the filter it has totally cracked into two pieces. I made a complain to Philips and a technician came to inspect the same on the 21st May, and took several photographs and promissed to inform me about the outcome in a day or two. But since then he neither called me nor taking my calls. Today, when I rang up the call center, they provided me number of the area manager. When I spoke to him he flatly refused to replace the defective part saying it can not crack so early.I tried to convince him that there is no child in my flat and question of mishandling doesn't arise but he was not moved. It proved that they are only interested in selling a product and not providing any service even if it's a defective one. Very disappointed with this product

Make it a partner of your room and feel the difference. If possible try to have some Snake Plants and Areca Plam along with it in your room and feel energetic, because nature & science are best combination.. You will love it!

Product is good but prefer buying it from a nearby philips showroom. Really disappointed with Amazon.1. First i got a defective product.2. After requesting for so many times, when the service man came, he also could not fix it.3. When I requested for return of this product, no one came for the pickup.4. Even after taking to amazon helpline was a waste.So the result is that this non functional air purifier is just lying in our room as a decorative piece,, and i have no one to listen my complaint.So guys buy it from showroom, atleast you can reach them when in trouble

It’s working well and serving the purpose for which we decided to buy it. We can feel a difference in air that we are breathing and after using it there is a drastic improvement in my health. It is able to purify air and remove allergens. Will recommend to buy this air purifier

Bought the product believing there with be VFM for the price. It turned out to be a simple air purifier with gimmick PM meter and display. Do not be fooled by the touch screen , coloured lights and LED display. Its functioning as an air purifier is low end with only a HEPA and Carbon filter. At this price Eureka Forbes is a huge value for money. Have been using Eureka Forbes DETOX model past 10 years and it's a great buy as a product. Issue has been with filters availability in some parts of India where I stayed hence went for Philips considering the availability of filters currently, not sure if 5 years down, will this model filter will be available. Returning Philips and booking the Eureka Forbes with Ionizer, remote control, and UV at much better price than this useless Philips .

Philips air purifier 2000 is very good product specially during spring winter season when pollution is at highest level in Delhi, NCR. During these months it becomes to difficult to breath normally and kids had bed respiratory elements. I myself is doctor but felt helpless when pollution level is on peak and had to give frequently neubalization or antibiotic course to treat respiratory issues. Now with having Philips air purifier in bedroom, my family is in much better health and since last six months there is no respiratory issues and no need of neubalization or antibiotics. Thanks Philips for such an nice product, it's true value for money.
