It worked, that's what was most important
I debated buying this plastic kit or the more expensive metal one. But the other kit was over twice the price of this one. But could a plastic block do the job?Well, yes. It did do the job. I had no trouble splicing the 2 tapes that had broken. I'm glad I saved the money.The slot in the block was cut perfectly. The tape fit in nice and tight and was deep enough that it didn't try to jump out.If I made my living splicing reel-to-reel tapes maybe this wouldn't be durable enough for extended use. But how often am I going to splice tapes back together?So unless you are a professional tape splicer, this is all you need.

Works. Not many out there for this Andy more. Cheaply built. But they all are. Over all okay.
