Kate is really nice. It’s kind of a flat metallic and came out very beautiful on my piece of furniture. It’s easy to use whether in a sprayer or using a brush.

It has been a year since I first purchased Rust-oleum Metallic Paints. The product goes on easily and required a second coat to achieve the desired look! I used it on a mantle in my 1911 home. Looks terrific! I also used their "pearl finish" paint on the field stones and it makes an interesting appearance. What amazed me is their response to a lid that was broken in shipping. Rust-oleum sent a new quart! They are a role model for quality customer service. I have used Rust-oleum products for many years and will continue.

After reading reviews and pictures, I thought the soft gold was going to be much lighterb than it is. Depending on light and the direction of light, it has a very brass tone to it. It's pretty but a bolder color than I anticipated. My doors are metal and I primed them first. I tried various rollers and brushes. Rollers did not work at all so stuck with a 3" synthetic brush. It took many coats and in some areas it just seemed to not want to coat well. The final product you can see a lot of brush strokes. It doesn't look bad but it's not smooth. I bought a 32oz jar and used about 1/3 of it for these 2 doors. The first shipment must have exploded because UPS sent it back as product damaged. Check your package right away.

This paint, while fairly pricey (the trial size was not available when I purchased this), was exactly what I was looking for. I made a fire engine for my nephew out of wood and brass, and wanted a paint that matched the brass as closely as possible. Rust-Oleum Metallic Accents in "soft gold" fit the bill admirably (see photos). In addition, the paint covers very, very well - I was using it to paint over red, which is a notoriously difficult color to cover over in one coat.UPDATE 11/20/2019I still use this very same container to accent some of my projects - so it has remained usable for two years!It is a VERY thick paint. I used brushes for my project, and I imagine a roller would work to apply this paint as well, but I can't imagine getting it thin enough to run through a sprayer without ruining the covering properties of the paint and severely impacting the quality of the finished project.Overall, I am incredibly pleased with the paint - though I do wish the price was more reasonable. Finally - it has been over a year since the fire engine project was completed - and I just today opened the paint to use a bit, and it seemed to be just as fresh as it was the day I first opened it in November 2016. I credit the container and the tight-sealing screw-top with preserving the paint. I kept the foam disk that came inside the lid, which also probably helped. So, while I paid quite a bit for the paint, it was a pleasant surprise to realize that it has a very long shelf life, and therefore I can squeeze out a little more bang for my buck.

I was hopeful this paint would bring my kitchen together. I have all stainless steel appliances. The last to replace was my vent hood that was cream colored…well we had an emergency and had to put the purchase on hold. It was driving me crazy looking at my cute kitchen with mismatched appliance colors. So I ordered this paint and it said sterling silver but it looks so stainlessly great! I was really surprised. My hubby was shocked. He started fussing when he went in the kitchen…I thought we were going to wait on any more purchases! I laughed and said Wow! That’s a great testament to the product and my painting skills. He was so happy. He said “can we take the fridge back and paint the old one in the garage”?LOL.. I’m looking around the house to see if there is anything else I want to give a little silver touch up to. This is a great paint!

Goes on well, nice and clear and durable!

Spun par finish even after 3 coats. Tried brush, sponge roller, traditional small roller and microfiber roller. It ruined the finish and had to start all over, waste of time effort and money. Frustrating.Spend the money, get the Modern Masters, have used it for so many projects and always looks great, worth the extra money.Exception: I purchased the dark bronze for the countertop and it looked great, it was full of tiny bubbles at first but were gone by the time it dried.

goes on very nicely. Doing all the cement statues that have faded over the years. Its a sticking colour. seems to hold to cement nicely.

Really good metallic accent . I got the gold mine and it is just like the name describes. It is not a bright yellow but a darker mustard color metallic. Really nice I ordered more. A little goes a long way, the tiny bottle will last me a while. But I'm only interested in accent/detail work nothing intensive. The clock's face trim was black and I did the bottom trim.

I had changed all the door handles to brushed nickel but the hinges were still coloured brass, so I got this paint to coordinate the hinges with the handles. It was a perfect match and went on so easily. This small bottle was more than enough. Love this paint!

It’s an excellent topcoat.It was very easy to use very clear and very shinyIf you apply to much it is not clear. Instead it’s kind of milky, but keep it thin and it’s fantastic.
