CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward. These models pack Triple Sensor and temperature and direction readings into a 100M water resistant design that is perfect for sports, work, or other activities that involve water. In addition to world time, stopwatch alarm, and other basic timekeeping functions, these models also include a direction sensor and temperature sensor. Direction readings and time are indicated by large, easy-to-read figures. A large LCD is divided into three segments for a clear, easy-to-understand presentation of data. Mineral glass is used to protect against scratching.

Read the manual! Temp is accurate but has to be calibrated!
I got this watch to wear at home as a similar unit to my work watch (sgw-100-2bcf -- the 2 sensor variant).I like the black background, which I find very easy to read in daylight or bright indoor lights. It's a struggle in dim lighting, but the backlight works perfectly to make up for that. You can set the duration to 1.5 or 3 sec, and there's an auto feature that will light it up when you move your wrist past 40 degrees. Very helpful! I used the 2 sensor variant for over a year on the night shift (with only a 1.5 sec and no auto feature) in a hospital and decided I'd buy another with the black background, so that should tell you how I feel about it.Configuring all the settings is pretty easy, but you will probably need the manual to get through all of them. Here's what I like so far:+ 3 sensors (duh). There are multiple ways to display the trends on barometer and altitude, and you can change units on everything.+ Sunrise/sunset. A pleasant surprise. It's easy to scroll through days with the push of a button.+ Temp: I find the thermometer to be pretty accurate, but YOU HAVE TO CALIBRATE IT WHILE WEARING IT SO THAT THE WATCH CAN COMPENSATE FOR YOUR BODY TEMP. Everybody complains that it's not accurate (probably 10-15F higher than ambient). That's true out of the box, but you should wear the watch for about 20 min to get it warmed up on your wrist, then calibrate the temp just like all the other parameters.+ Multiple alarms with snooze.+ Multiple ways to display the date: FR29 or 3.29 for Friday, Mar 23.+ The strap fits great. My wrist is probably about average, and I use the middle notch.+ DST setting to go back and forth without affecting the world time features.- Less water resistant than my other watch (10 bar vs 20), but it's not a diving watch, and I never go deeper than the bottom of the pool. No big deal.- Would be nice to have a pedometer since it can log altitude min/max for hikes, etc.- Limited color choice, if that's a con. The green highlights work for me.This is a fantastic watch that I look forward to using for a long time to come. If it's anything like the 2 sensor model, it won't be a disappointment. $79.99 in March 2019. 5 stars.

GREAT WATCH! Accurate with lots of good info readily available
Can rarely go wrong with a Casio! Can be a bit tough to read in daytime but simply angling the watch a bit makes up for that. Barometer and Altimeter are accurate and the multiple main display options are a nice feature. As expected, this watch is durable and feels nice on the wrist.

The ‘10 year battery’ didn’t last four years
Hardly ever wore it and the ‘10 year battery’ didn’t last four years. Otherwise it’s nice.

Superb, but.....
I really like this watch so far although I have only had it a week. But, if it is like my last Casio that I just replaced, it should last 7+ years. The only slightly disappointing issue is that because the face is a black background, it makes viewing the displayed values somewhat difficult in low light situations. Other than that superficial issue, the watch is superb. I love the ABC features.

Decent for the money
This is a nice rugged looking watch. I was looking for a weekender with the functionality but not the $'s. This watch fit the bill. For time, it is very accurate once set. As others have stated, The barometer is fairly accurate but most useful for detecting changes in the weather. The altimeter is ok but seems to be affected by barometric pressure. I believe the compass is fairly accurate as well but not without calibrating first. After calibrating, I tested against a regular compass and the reading on the Casio was right on. I wasn't sure if I'd like the band as it looks flimsy but it is light weight and quite comfortable. Others have commented that they don't like the back-lit display but I like it a lot. To me it's more visible and for nigh time, just press the light button.Overall I like the watch and the price I paid cannot be beat (price on Amazon fluctuates wildly though) when compared to other much more expensive brands and models. The user manual is somewhat cumbersome so you'll need patience deciphering and understanding the directions (the reason for four vs five stars).

Battery life
I bought this and it worked great for 4 months. The battery went dead. So I replaced the battery, and about 4-5 months later, it quits on me again. I have tried contacting amazon for false advertisement of battery life. There are other cases of the same thing with the batteries. Dont buy, I had bought one at walmart a year before this one, that is my work watch. Being a plumber and it getting wet and dirty, it works great. never had any problems. Don't waste your money getting one from amazon, get it from walmart.

All the PRO-TREK features without the typical PRO-TREK price!
I agree with the other reviewer that the screen is somewhat difficult to quick-read during the DAY time (night illumination is great). Other than that, this watch uses the latest VERSION 3 sensor which pulls compass settings for 60 full seconds, has altitude measurements in 1 meter increments, etc, etc. Each of the Compass/Barometer/Altitude functions can be CALIBRATED and now that I've done that the watch is supremely accurate in all 3 modes (compass can be shifted for magnetic declination also). Just make sure you also set both your correct LATITUDE/LONGITUDE and MAGNETIC DECLINATION settings on the watch for the compass to be 100% accurate. I'm appreciating how nice it is to have such a capable instrument on my wrist in an outdoor setting.Note that if you're looking at other Casio sensor watch models, if they were made BEFORE 2013 then you're looking at the older VERSION 2 sensor that is less accurate and uses about 90% more battery power. Get this model instead, you'll appreciate the upgraded sensor.

Very cool watch
Very cool watch, although the dark screen is hard to read in the dark, duh. Has a light. Anyway I returned this and got the upgraded version which is the ProTrek triple sensor Tough Solar. This one has no solar, but only $10 less than the ProTrek Triple sensor Tough solar, which is my daily wear.

fiabilidad Casio

Wicked product.
I have had this watch for about 3 hours and I love it already. It has been super easy to figure out how to set up and calibrate. I'm not very Rach Davy. I'm more of a hands on and not a read the instructions first kinda guy. Who's ever designed this watch kept us in mind and was a realistic thinker. I've read the other reviews about how the negative display is hard to read and the light only last for 1 second. Both are not true. I have bad eyes as it is and I've been hiding this from the wife try I g to figure it out and in s*** light to. But if you fallow the set up instructions it clearly lets you set the back light to three seconds. And hey. Hit it again and its another three. That's six whole seconds. And guess what. U guessed it. Once more gives another three. That's nine whole seconds of light. If u can't read your I go from that nine seconds this watch is not for you. So far all the sensors work fine. It does what it's deposed to. The compass does point true once set. I've tested and re tested. No the thermometer doesn't work while it's on. But once again in the manual it says that the watch sitting by itself in the environment in which testing for about 20 mins will give u the most accurate readings. And it does. Love this little thing. Can't wait to use in field. It has so many functions. 400 dollar watch in a 100 dollar body.

Buen reloj PERO....
