Amazon Basics Axe (36 cm)

Blade edge to thin, chipped after cutting a small log,

1 1/4 head which can be a bit on the light side, nice handle many cheap axes have a terrible almost unusable handle. The steel is what you get on a run of the mill use and abuse axe. The mark downs are it's £20 which is near 2-3 times the price of its peers. Top marks to the handle but everything else can be had for less. I feel a cheap plastic axe mask should be with it. To warrant that £20 cost.

Quite a sturdy little axe. Will however recoment buying a filing/sharpening tool to complement as its a ull when you buy it. Other than that its a nice axe.

Like the handle on this basic amazon hatchet ,but was very disappointed on how blunt it was,it could not split any logs we had,luckerley we have also ordered a stone for sharpening the hatched.

Bought this recently to aid with pruning the sides of a couple of our trees. It works well for this and thus far is maintaining it's sharpness. It is also very lightweight so I get good control over the swinging motion of it. Very happy with this, and for a great price too.

Good general Axe

Bit light for splitting even small logs - probably fine for making kindling from lighter pieces

I ordered this to break down an old tree stump and am pleased with the hatchet.It feels easy to handle and light but strong and sturdy enough to cut through most wood. Great for cutting up logs for a fire place.

Got this to tackle a tree stump... it is lightweight, and the blade is sharp and very sturdy. It is attacking the tree stump with great force and so far so good.
