Well made. Sturdy.

My grandson is in middle school orchestra and was thrilled by this book. He has not used it yet because he just received it as an early Christmas gift, but he plans to make good use of it. Book arrived in excellent condition in spite of pkg being left in snow on my doorstep. Interior of envelope was plastic lined. No odd odors. Would buy again if he, or someone else I know, wants to create music.

Much better than my usual blank notebooks, The Song In My Head: Songwriter Journal feels like a journal where I can build on ideas over time. The guitar tab is super helpful. As a place for my quick sketches, I can borrow from one and drop into another. Normally these would be spread around random notebooks or worse, on my phone. Feels good getting back to pen and paper!

Bought this for a gift. I'm really not sure how much use it has actually received, but the teen was stoked when he received it.

I bought this for my son and he loves it. Music truly is therapy for him and he has begun writing his own songs. Was a great songwriting book for him.

I only had the Song In My Head journal for a few days now, and I every time I start playing some chords and humming a melody I start reaching out for this journal. I can already tell this is going to follow me everywhere!Great job Kathy and Kiki :)

Love, love, love this book!!! I purchased as a Christmas gift for my son(which he hasn’t opened yet) but I’m sure he is going to enjoy it very much.

I’ve had “the song in my head” for around a week or so and I have to say it is now one of the most useful tools in my song writing arsenal.It simplifies the song writing process for me greatly, tidying up the various scribbles on a page that in most cases I would forget about. Instead the different sections of each page allow me to map out the different ideas and phrases I create.I never was one to memorise all of my theory either, it’s very helpful to be able to flick to the back and have easy access to the circle of fifths, various notation meanings and a simple chord chart. The quotations also give a bit of a lift if you find yourself stuck in a rut.All in all I feel like “the song in my head” is going to change the way I write going forward (and it’s probably for the better!)

This is one of those notebooks you see and wonder why it hasn't always existed. It's elegant, inspiring, and a brilliant gift for musicians. I also think it makes a wonderful notebook even if you are just journaling, because it is so much more interesting than a book of blank pages. I can see myself going through a stack of these in the coming years!

This is a slim volume and 90% of the pages are identical. Just the last few have any thing approaching musical theory. This is grossly over priced for what it is. If you are considering buying the box of cards then the review is pretty much the same, grossly over priced.

The must have journal for all budding song writers and lyricists. This compact, very portable, book has dozens of pages, ready and waiting, to be filled with ideas for your latest songs. A great clear guide to chords and chord structure and some lovely inspirational quotes for getting started (leave your ego behind) from some of the top recording artists. The perfect gift for every budding writer of any age!

So happy to have found such an original gift for a songwriter friend! This is such a feel good journal. Being any kind of artist can be an isolating process, but this journal makes you feel as if you are part of a tribe and have mentor cheering you on. And it's so much thicker than i thought- what means more space for creating and writing.
