Q: what is the cover made of? I am looking for 100% cotton cover.

The Snoogle pillow that DOES have a 100% cotton cover is "Snoogle® Deluxe - Removable, washable 2-piece cover in 100% Cotton."This pillow here on the site is the "Original" model which is the polyester and cotton blend.

Q: How much room does this take up in a bed? Will me, my husband, a cat, and this pillow be able to sleep comfortably in a queen seize bed?

It sits comfortably on my side of the bed. Yes you can sleep comfortably with the hubby and cat in a queen size bed. We have a queen size and we have 2 cats and a husky that join us in the bed everynight. The pillow actually helps my legs stay closer up rather than straight down so there's room by my feet and the cats love the pillow as much as I do so they tend to wander on the edges and fall asleep there for extra warmth.

Not necessarily. I'm 5'4" and it's perfect. It's definitely long but you can move it and position it for extreme comfort.

I would say it does fit well on a queen size bed AFTER you get positioned exactly how you want, but try rolling over in the middle of the night or getting up to pee... AWFUL. I agree with Amanda from 5/9/14. Bought it yesterday, and it's GOING BACK if they will take it.
