Easy to install wheels glide over my hardwoods without leaving marks! They raised the height of my chair a little, bit it actually made it easier to see my Mac. Plan to order for more of our chairs!

I put these on a new, heavy duty office chair. I wanted something that would roll easily on carpeting without the use of a chair mat. The 3" diameter makes it easy enough, although a chair mat would still be useful. I like the way these wheels improve the chair.

These are built well and I've had no issues with loose wheels or locked bearings. I have been using for about 2-3 months now.

These are a piece of garbage and do not work well on carpet. You must be perfectly centered in the chair or they do not work and will throw you out of the chair. Replaced them with the original wheels... Not worth the money or effort of changing.

This is a simple idea and as one who used to play roller hockey, I'm surprised I hadn't heard about it sooner. Replacing office chair casters with roller hockey/roller blade type wheels, that are sturdier and don't break as easily, is brilliant. I haven't used these long enough to really give a full in depth review. But I will update this later with time and I will share some insights into the problems others experience and why they are experiencing it.For reference, I've installed these on a La-ze-boy office chair. Yes, they make office chairs. Actually if it wasn't for the trash bonded leather they use for the outside, it would be a fantastic chair with pads that don't go flat the day after you get it. Although, I did have to get a Purple cushion eventually. But, that is that, lets move on...The most common issue I see on other reviews is that these don't move the same as regular casters. This is true. Most chair casters are in a double wheel setup and the wheels are much more narrow. These are single wheel and built with a completely different material. If you haven't roller bladed or played hockey, you wouldn't recognize it. But it feels like a very hard rubbery plastic. This can bring in extra friction and these type of wheels are known to wear with time. I've countless old wheels from my hockey days which have one side entirely worn down. To resolve this, you had to rotate the wheels to get the wear back to normal.Will these wheels wear down the same? No. The difference in wear with you being just on an office chair is night and day. Not only is the surface you are using them on completely different but, the level of friction they will experience is extremely low in comparison. I would expect these wheels to very likely outlast the chair you are putting them on.Some other users mention problems with being used on carpets. Since I use this on a carpet, I can tell you that this is situational at best. If you have an extremely high shag carpet, maybe, maybe you might run into some trouble. The problem with that argument is, these things move better through carpet than stock casters. However, deep shag could potentially get caught in the wheel. Just, if you were using it on something like that before with stock casters, you probably should put a mat down first. Overall these wheels are much better for carpet users. The simply taller and the bigger surface area on the wheel, allows it better control in carpet.Really these are great and the only area I can knock them on from the start is possibly the instructions. Yes, you can do this all without tools. However, if you run into stuck casters, which I did on at least 3 of the old casters, they don't tell you anything to get around this. You would get stuck googling and find out that you need a flat head screwdriver to pop them out. Hence, a tool. A simple note on the instruction sheet of this for troubleshooting would be a great help.Overall these, are so far, great new wheels for this chair and extends the life of it even longer. I highly recommend checking into doing this replacement for your own chair, or chairs, if you are tired of the cheap plastic casters breaking. They are worth it!

Don’t use on carpet or on big and tall chairs. I removed and installed original wheels.
