TAINTED ---- Morgan is Messiah's entire world....but he doesn't know who he'd choose?
Due to this series, I'm no longer a fan. How does she expect us to believe Messiah loves Morgan when she tainted everything special about their relationship. I will simply do bullet points...- Messiah claimed Bleu bedroom magic is the best in the world- Messiah claims he will only share his past trauma with Bleu (even if he tells Morgan later...wtf cares, Morgan is always an after thought.)- Morgan got pregnant first, but he thinks Bleu is the mother to his first son. (Blue also names her child Messiah jr.... Even if Ssiah discovers later that he has kids with Morgan and that they are his first born... that first revelation from Bleu will always be the most potent.)- He returns from the dead, first woman to see him.... Bleu- His cancer battle... the woman he chose to be beside him.... BleuAll Morgan can ever be to him now is just a runner-up. I will never root them... Ashley could write a million scenes of Messiah claiming Morgan is his world, or add a million more tattoos of Morgan to Ssiiah's body and yet, I will never be convinced.I once held Ashley in high regards as a writer, but this is trash. Boring, wordy, void of dialogue and very inconsistent. She wasted 100 plus pages saying the same thing. No secrets are revealed between Morgan and Messiah. In a vain effort to add some type of drama to this recycled cry-fest, Ashley thought 'oh a dead baby may make this interesting'..... no it doesn't make it interesting, it just made every reader who rooted for Morgan and Messiah feel like it was a waste of effort to read it.There is no excitement AT ALL until the last two or three chapter where a shoot out took place and Bash threatened to get Ethic locked up in order to keep Morgan by his side.So much could have happen in this book. There was so many different exciting things that could have unfolded that would have allowed her to drag this book out without boring us to tears and making us hate M/M's relationship. I no longer trust her to write about any character that was once loved. Because she just takes it, plays off their initial appeal and then trashes everything that built the momentum to begin with, all in the interest of making more books for cash. Quality is so much more important than quantity. I would rather by Moth to a Flame 12 times, then to buy one of each book in the Ethic series and Butterfly series. If the money is that serious, I would really do that, but please don't defile or water down the beautiful works that were INITIALLY created. If the next book has to be filled with 3 pages dance scenes every other chapter, 10% song lyrics and repetitive emotions... please don't write it. The fans deserve more, these beautiful characters deserve more, and your future series deserve an increasing fan base. So many readers are beginning to think and say the same things, it's really disheartening.

If it takes 5 books to tell a story, you cant write
How is she such an acclaimed writer? Ehic's story took 6 books, she will draw this one out just as long,

Love Ashley, but over Morgan.
I won’t be reading book 3. I can’t take the back and forth. The CONSTANT “I don’t know what to do or who to choose between 2 different men, turns into 3” act was killing me. Morgan has truly become a character I just can’t relate with. I was hoping that after 9 books this character would find some type of strength and self worth by now. This book makes 10 and she’s the same broken girl. Unable to make a decision, too weak to walk away from unhappiness. The constant indecisiveness, the crying, the weakness, I can’t take it no more. Other than Ethic and Alani I see no growth in any of the characters and it’s draining me emotionally and mentally. I was hoping for a little progress but there was none. Just a deeper whole being dug. It’s way too many characters for me and it’s becoming a clusterf*ck. Messiah Blue Bash Ahmeek Morgan. All these background stories and babies, all the secrets still not knowing about the kids. It’s all just too much goin on. This book truly disappointed me because part 1 was so good. I’m also starting to despise series being drawn out in so many books. A good book should end and be memorable. The more books written the less of chance I will reread them because it’s so much content. I loved the Ethic serious but I won’t be goin back to reread 6 books and nor will I with the Butterfly series as it seems this will be a series of multiple books as well. Ashley is my number 1 author too. It’s hurts writing this review because I’m #ASHARMY GANG! Please, I hope you take into consideration when to end your books and series. We will support every book you write anyway. I just wanna stay interested. I never wanna be over a story the way I am over Morgan’s story. I look forward to Ash’s books for a pick me up. Morgan’s story is honestly bringing me down. That much weakness doesn’t resonate with me.

Didn't meet my expectations
After reading book 1 my anticipation of book 2 was high. The book started off great but quickly went nowhere with the back and forth between Mogan and Meek. I was expecting more growth and patience from Messiah and Morgan and got neither. This was a good read but not one of my favorites.

The Real
These books are definitely starting to drag and when that happens you get bored. I was bored. It took forever for Ashley to get to the meat and potatoes of what her readers wanted to experience. The raw and uncut confrontation between Messiah and Morgan. Why did we have to endure the dates and all the meet ups with Meek? Don’t get me wrong, I’m team Meek, but there was a lot of fluff. Just like the Ethic series with Alani and Ethic. We get how they feel about it each other. So it doesn’t need to be expressed every time they are in each other’s presence. We get it! We need more dialog. Why is Morgan stuck on Bash knowing she don’t respect him? Throughout the entire book he was an afterthought. He is the “father” to her children and yet we don’t witness the interaction. Messiah is selfish and immature. Morgan is selfish and immature. I just think Ashley missed her mark with this book. Her writing has become better, but she does have a problem with descriptions. On a positive note, I do like learning more about Messiah and the bonds he shared with Isa and Meek. I love how trauma and sexual abuse of a strong black man is being acknowledged. I love the different dimensions of Ameek. I especially like the truth to dating a gangster.

Over it.
I waited a long time for Butterfly 2 and did not get anything that I expected. Just a drawn out story. And now book 3 will not be out until December. I’m good on your books love. Waste of my money.
