This book is really great and informative with a sprinkle of humor to go with it

The first thing we need to realize for genuine communication as husband and wife is that we communicate differently. Rather than just lumping all men and all women into two separate categories, the Parrotts lead each reader through a process that identifies his/her own unique communication style. Once both partners' styles have been identified, it is then that true "Love Talk" can begin.I highly recommend this book to all couples seeking to improve the communication in their marriage. (What couple couldn't use some improvement?) Although possessing a strong Christian background, the Parrotts do not come across as "preachy," but as helpful, insightful, and even transparent as they draw from their own struggles as husband and wife.

My wife and I are taking a Love Talk class with our church group. We have found the book to be very helpful in breaking down our communication barriers. It helped us to identify our fear factors - or those things that prevent us from being comfortable in our communication with each other. Although it's designed to help enhance communication for marriage and dating relationships my wife and I have found that it helps us in our communication with others in our circle of family, friends, and coworkers. We highly recommend this book whether you're just beginning a relationship or married for 30 or 40 or more years.

This book tells you to go to the workbook to find the activities it mentions in the book. I didn’t get the workbook….

Communication is such a complex part of our human experience, especially in marriage. Love Talk breaks it down into understandable "bite sized chunks" that you can both understand and apply. Great resource!

I liked this book because if the insight in talking to a woman...understanding how each other talks and thinks is so important in a relationship

I was very disappointed that the "Better Love" Assessment was not included as I understood it would be. Under the Product Description, it says that Love Talk includes the Better Love Assessment and then going on to list other parts that it includes. It also says that you can use the workbooks along side it but that they are sold separately. The wordage makes it seem like the Assessment IS included in the purchase of the book but it is NOT. Not to mention the cover of the book says that it is "featuring the Better Love Assessment." After thumbing through the pages, it seems like the Assessment and the separate workbooks are mentioned throughout. It would have been good to know that ahead of time and to plan on the cost being a bit higher than to be fooled into thinking we could just buy the book. I hope the seller reads this and makes changes to the product description because it seems to be deceptive.

Reading this book in a group with our church. It is a simple read with great concepts!

To get use of the book, you will need to also buy both the online test (gravy) and (more importantly) the 2 workbooks. Truth be told, this is clearly stated in the prologue, I just didn't imagine it was to that level.Most chapters relate to the workbooks with the mention (my words) "as you've just did in the workbooks", or "you'll learn in the workbooks". IMHO, the workbooks should have been included in the book even with a higher price for book.
