Great all around charcoal. I would compare it to the Kamado Joe brand in size, quality, and purity.I have found pieces of plywood, clay, leaves, and even wire in grocery store brands and have yet to find anything like that with this brand.The chunks range from medium to large and I will typically cut the bag down the middle while it’s on its side so I can grab the correct sized pieces for whatever I’m trying to do. That being said, the zipper and higher quality bag are great for more humid climates or places where scorpions and bugs will find their way into the paper bags.I’m subtracting one star because whether it is the delivery or manufacturing process a fair portion of the bag is unusable dust.

Jealous Devil is the best lump charcoal I have ever used. Tried it after watching Harry Soo video and tests done against competing products on YouTube. This is the only product I will use when I'm doing a brisket, butt or other meat that requires a long consistent cook time. Only complaint I have as seen in the pictures is the seller did not take the time to adequately package the bags. Each of the boxes was burst open and one of the bags actually burst open at the seam. Have notified the vendor of this issue. Hope the vendor fixes this going forward. Will definitely buy this product again.

I started using this charcoal for my kamado cooker when Amazon stopped listing Fogo charcoal. I generally like the shipping and the Ziploc bags the charcoal comes in, and the charcoal is extremely high-quality and is always all natural medium to large chunks. That said, the last few orders I've had while the charcoal is priming, I get a distinct creosote smell that I'm not a fan of. Once the charcoal is properly primed it is definitely gone, but I do not get that smell with the Fogo charcoal. I've got a couple bags left of this stuff and I'll definitely burn through it but I've already ordered a new bag of Fogo which is now available on Amazon again.

This lump is amazing. I had been using some of the more readily available stuff found at big box stores which I had always thought was fine. Until I tried Jealous Devil.This does take a little more effort to get lit (I use an electric heat gun) but once it’s lit, it burns so well. Stays nice and hot and burns completely. If I had one complaint, it’s that of the three bags in the order, one has busted open during shipping. But that’s a minor inconvenience - duct tape the bag shut and pour the escaped charcoal back into the bag. Overall satisfaction with the charcoal is five stars.

My headline says everything. The charcoal delivered to the door is less expensive than poor quality grocery store charcoal. Fine hardwood, even burning, long lasting. This is my second purchase of 3 35 pound bags. No small chunks and minimal dust or powder.

Really like this lump charcoal. It's a bit pricier but it never disappoints. I have tried some less expensive brands but it varies so much from bag to bag on the quality. This is always consistently good. If I wanted to complain about something it would be that a "3 pack" is actually just 3 bags that ship separately and not at the same time but the price is usually a bit better when you buy it that way.

Exactly what we wanted. Nice big chunks. This is our go to brand.
