Easy
My 8 year old built it in less than 20 min without my help. I didn’t even know he opened it. I was doing laundry and next thing I knew we had a catapult at the kitchen table. Didn’t ask for help or anything, no extra pieces. Too simple but worth the price I guess. It was one of the cheapest options I could find. With our local team going to worlds competition again he wanted to see what VEX was all about.

Fun and challenging
My 9 year old daughter is a girly girl until it comes to assembling things. She spends hours reading the instructions and diligently putting these robotics together! It’s the only thing that keeps her focused. She’s now assembled about 5 of these. Great gifts.

Nice and a good challenge for an 8 year old.
Not as easy as we had hoped but still a nice challenge. My grandson want to build robots and we thought this might help prepare him. It is a good quality.

Happy kid!
My 7 year old, robot crazy kid loves this thing. He thinks it is great. The instructions are a little confusing so make sure they pay special attention when putting together the base to insure they don’t have start over!

This is a great alternative to Lego
My son received this as a birthday present when he was 4 years old. He was able to build most of this himself, with me reading the instructions for him. He loves playing with this and often takes it apart to build the car and different versions. Since then, I have ordered additional sets to give as gifts to his friends who are turning 5-10. This is a great alternative to Lego. This holds together very well and does not fall apart when he or his friends are playing with it.

Good science toy and fun
We bought this to replace one we lost in a move. My son used this for a science project and was able to make adjustments for his independent variable. Half the fun was making it in the first place. Beyond the science experiment he has also just had fun playing with it.

It’s great!
I built this with my five year old. He loved it! Straight forward instructions. He needed a little help with a few pieces. Would be perfect for an older kid.

Sent the Red version
The amount of force breaks the catapult. Parts were missing, and had to wait a few weeks to get the parts.

My 10 Year Old Put This Together In About An Hour
My ten your old absolutely loved putting this together and he had no issues following the instructions. The catapult works great and he has had a great time playing with it since he placed it together. All out well made product.

Very cool toy for a kid to build! It works too!
My only concern is that it states it is for 12+ so I was hoping for something a bit more complex to build for my 12 year old. It took him about 30 min to build. He really enjoyed it though and it is fully functioning too.
