I have never had that issue although I never button them all the way up. I always leave the top one or two unbuttoned.

Q: How long are the sleeves on a large?

Sleeve length of Large size from center back is 35-1/4 inches. If we measure it from shoulder seam then it would be 26-3/8 inches.
