I never write reviews, but wanted to clarify some misconceptions and help other folks.There are some negative reviews about this camera, so I wanted to set the record straight. I only use this camera for work meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc) and so was content to plug it in and let it run. The quality of the image was terrible. People even told me the coloring was overly white and it looked like a cheap camera. I was debating whether to go back to my laptop camera. However, I took the advice of other comments on the logitech website, and downloaded the free software - on my personal laptop and work laptop. The software controls the image quality. I saw an IMMEDIATE difference in the image quality. I no longer looked washed out, but the quality improved dramatically. You can also control if the camera follows your face etc. There is also a free streaming. program for this camera, to further control the image quality.The Apps to download for FREE from logitech are:Logitech CaptureLogitech Camera SettingsLogitech Camera Settings is for any logitech camera, and you can control every details - lighting, brightening, camera width etc. Logitech Capture is for for this camera - and its a streaming app.With the app downloads, it is 100% beyond worth the value of the money. I have Microsoft Surface computers, so this could be part of the reason why I needed the apps - maybe other types of computers do not.

At first I was worried, it only seemed on par with my laptop built in camera. Then I downloaded the Logitech Capture software and was able to turn HD on and adjust it. It kinda gives you a link to it in the directions but never states you need to download it for full functionality. The program also updated the firmware for me.From my programs like zoom, etc, I have to open up the Logitech Capture software first, then i can open zoom or skype, etc but have to choose the Logi Capture camera NOT the Logitech streamcam, because if you choose the streamcam none of your adjustments are there, its just to defaults.Anyways, once i have the both apps open and pick the Logi Capture camera all my setting are there, you can zoom in, move it around on the zoom feature with out moving the physical camera etc. This allowed me to zoom in enough for my pop up Elgato green screen and stay in the lines.Overall I am pretty happy with this but wish you could lock the camera settings in via default without the software running in the back ground. You would also think it would be in HD mode by default. It does look good in white.

My office is white and gold with some walnut thrown in. I put off buying a camera for my monitor because I couldn't stand the though of a horrid black or silver camera ruining my whole color scheme, until I saw this Logitech. I fell in love, I waited for it to be restocked then I pounced. I love it, It's gorgeous and works well as it has both a very sharp camera and microphone. There are only 2 downsides: 1) is that the camera uses a USB-C plug, so I can't keep my back up disk and the camera plugged into my dock at the same time, but that is minor; and 2) there is no cover, so I use mini-post its to cover the lens. I have seen some 3D printing geniuses online come up with some solutions, so if you are able to 3D print a cover, please send it my way.

this thing is much better than any camera ive had. better than buying an Elgato camera. Plus if you pair this up with NVidia Broadcast, you will have the best option out there for streaming or any other use for your camera on your PC. Highly recommend

This is an alarm call for Logitech. The camera itself is ok but I can not use any advance features because the G Hub has a massive bug in Mac. The things is, I also bought the G502 X PLUS Millennium Falcon Edition Mouse, which is a beautiful and amazing device, with the same issue. But this is not new, no. I have a Yeti X microphone in the shelve for almost 3 years now, like fancy decoration because #1 the micro USB port started giving trouble as soon as I started using it, #2 THE SOFTWARE BUG WAS ALREADY THERE BY THEN. I can not believe this, it's like the brand does not care a thing about development. Logitech, I was your fan, I have several other products, but this time, shame on you.

Truly what else can I say. 1080p is 2.1 megapixels. The front facing camera in today's phone is at least 2x to 4x higher quality than this. I truly don't understand why they're charging this much for a mediocre camera. In addition, I for the life of me cannot get the camera to rotate. They have no less than 3 different applications to control the camera and none of them work right. Don't buy this camera, find something else.
