great picture, wide view, works great with app

Very impressed so far. This system is way better than the older Samsung system I had. The app for viewing on my phone is a serious upgrade also. Only been around three days since I've installed them though.The setup for this is so easy. Literally almost plug and play.

Had an older q-see system that was running lower definition cameras. Wanted to upgrade and use alexa to view cameras.Removed the old DVR (q-see) and replace it with this, no change to cameras. It all worked with lower def cameras. Got everything to work with the new app and make sure I could view everything.Next came replacing the old cameras with the new cameras. One by one I changed them out. About 50% of the cables worked. The older did not. Seems the longer the cable the less chance it worked. The cables they give you are not long enough for most cases. So I have to string them together, which is why it is important to use as much of the old cables as you can.Previous system had a 4 to 1 adapter that I am using too. This system comes with 16 power adapters. Should come with a 4 to 1 or 8 to 1 adapter as well.The new cameras have a wider range and of course better resolution. When I changed them out, they went automatically to 4k.Rating a 4 because they should send longer cables.And they should send a 4 to 1 or 8 to 1 power adapter converter.Just as described, but a few changes could make it a 5 Star.

Their tech support sucks you have to call in 3-4 times for several hours in order to get a replacement i wouldn't recommend buying this product the Hard drive stopped working within 2-3 weeks of purchase and then i couldn't get a replacement fast enough because their tech support sucks making you go back and forth for stupid details that they should already have. I had no cameras in my business location because they needed 2-3 weeks for a replacement.....

Exactly what was needed! The customer is extremely satisfied! Quality camera system and technical support if needed! Lorex is a great security brand to go with on a budget!

I am sure it is a good system but, Lorex never got back to me when I asked them via amazon email if this system is compatible with my existing BNC wiring. I installed the new 4K DVR, connected all cables and my low resolution cameras (Installed 2013) worked. Then I started installing the 4K new cameras and then I noticed that nothing works. In short you have to install HD BNC cables for 4K or 5MP cameras to work. Since I do not want to re-wire the whole house again I have no choice but to return this system. My 3 star is only for customer service part of Lorex that never replied to my email.

I bought this system to replace a Q-see, since Q-see is gone out of business. I could not be happier. It was simple to set up and it worked with my current q-see wiring and camera's...however, I did swap them out because the new camera's are so much better. I thought setting up the remote viewing would be difficult, but it was a breeze. I did download the manual to figure out how to playback and save video, but once I figured it out it is so much better than our Q-see. I did call tech support twice for simple questions and they answered right away and were super to deal with (I wanted to turn off notifications on all camera's and had a question about remote viewing). Only had it two weeks, but so far I am thrilled.
