The comic's drawn-out performance is heavy-handed and everything gets a little too spelled-out. But for the most part this disc features Cosby in good form. A favorite cassette from my teen years
One of THE funniest comedy albums ever. Don't let more recent events deter you from buying this. He is one of the funniest people I know of!

Audio companion to VHS/DVD release
OK, a few things to remember regarding this release;1- Bill Cosby is hilarious.2- This album is not the complete show. Some sketches have been edited down and being audio only your not getting the mans famous facial expressions and physical quirks that are such a part of so many comics arsenal.3- Bill Cosby is hilarious. Oh, I already said that didn't I? Well it's worth repeating...4- The material here is a continuation of the mans well worn gambit of taking his audience down semi familiar routes but throwing in outrageous twists and anecdotes. Cosby is a master of exploring the inherently bizarre thought patterns of we mortals, and pointing out the hilarity of our foibles. All within a positively cherubic energy and infused with the joy of living.5- Bill Cosby is hilarious. Oh, and a stack of his material is now out on CD and so there is no excuse for not updating your collection or being able to get together quite a complete back catalogue of the guy especially given the very reasonable prices many of his releases are available for.But of all his albums this one perhaps is the one I've come closest to only giving three stars due to it's inherent disadvantage compared to getting the full DVD version.

CLASSIC THAT SET THE STAGE FOR COSBY SHOW
Well its easy today for everybody to focus on the bad of this man, but what about all the good? and theres plenty of that overlooked, mr. cosby is a genious, as a teen in the 80s never missed an cosby show, and he made sure to make you laugh and educate you at the same time. Today i have a love for blues and jazz thanks to mr. cosby, bb king, t bone walker, leena horne, dizzy gillispe, the march of mlk, and so so much more he put into every show. A Different world would carry that on as well, A BIG THANK YOU MR COSBY for all that and more thats never forgotten, and this classic cd started alot of ideas for that classic show.... very funny must have .

Another Great Cosby Album
This CD contains the same material as did the 1982 release of this material on both vinyl and cassette, or so says the listings on Discogs. So, any decisions to cut material from an original show was made many years ago.I had this album as well as most of the other Bill Cosby records when they came out in the seventies and eighties.I always thought that it was a shame that television took the best of our story tellers/comedians off the stage to do insipid sitcoms rather than apply their ingenious minds to creating really great entertainment for the stage. Bill Cosby was hardly the first who gave up a career as a comedian and story teller to appear for a short time in another drole sitcom. You can count both Bill Dana and Bob Newhart in this set.

A timeless hilarious comedian
Still as funny today is it was 30 years ago

Side-splittingly funny and clean enough for kids or company
We listen to this often enough to quote it. My kids and I can quote just one line and we all know which sketch we mean. Unfortunately it's edited a little from the full video version. I'm not sure why. There should have been room on the disc. But the bit about children having brain damage is not the whole thing you hear on the video. It's still hilarious stuff though and I don't regret buying it to listen to in the car. We laugh all the way to school.
