Didn’t get a chance to use it but it looks fine.

The rethreading die appears to be beveled on both sides.
Amazing product! Saved me a lot of hassle from having my stripped lug bolts serviced as I had whacked the threads by mistake when trying to remove a stuck rotor (shame on me for not putting the nuts on to cover the threads while banging away on the rotor, lol). I damaged three of the five studs, bad aim, lol. This rethreading die worked like a charm! Super easy. I recommend using cutting oil to help make it easier and will preserve the blades so your die lasts longer. Made quick work of this job. More than paid for itself on first (...and hopefully last) use! Nuts thread on beautifully now like new! I used the M14x1.5 rethreader and a large open end wrench.

Not like the picture
Shows a 6 point cutting edge but only comes with 4. Not what I wanted but not worth me sending back as it was bought with points. Hope it works

Buena calidad, producto equivocado.

Cheaply made and finicky. Also - sad that Drill America is made in China
Got it to repair threads on a mangled wheel stud. Dressed the stud first with a thread file then used the threading die. You have to go slow, back it off, and rethread a couple times. It worked, but you can see the cheapness and rough teeth of the Chinese-made die. Get a large socket or use a crescent wrench.Next time, I would buy a more expensive but better quality product from Irwin Hanson, Norseman, or Cle-Line. Chinese people are awesome - their government, not so much. Support local industry where you can, all right?

Good quality Tool
This is a good quality die, but one must be aware that it there is very little taper to input threads and so to use this to chase the starting threads on a bolt is difficult. In my case I simply used a file to correct the first 1 or 2 starting threads and this was enough for the die to "grab"... and at that point things worked as expected.

Works well
The only problem I had was finding something large enough to fit it. I redressed the threads on my axle shaft without effort. Cut like butter. Highly recommend this die

Denis
