Smittybilt 2763 Interior Security Storage Vault for Jeep® Wrangler JK

This is an excellent product. It's solidly built and provides a great security for all those things you don't want walking off. The dimensions could have been a bit wider and perhaps even a bit deeper for the bed of the two door JK. However, it's large enough to store everything that I need. I might even find a good use for the space on either side which has been left relatively unusable.I'm also a little wary about the securing method. They're just four self-tapping screws that drill from the inside of the box into the bed floor. Don't get me wrong, it's a heavy piece of equipment and, when it's filled with all my gear, there's no way anyone is walking off with it. And I t does come with some L brackets for additional boating, but you're still just putting it into the very thin floor of the jeep. Also, the tiedown shackles at the top corners of the box are very solidly built and will come in quite handy. In all, I'm very glad I made the purchase.

Ordered it and it came UPS. The box it comes in is not very heavy duty and it has a small ding on corner of the vault and the keys were missing. It does open and is a nice idea, but super heavy so I would assume it would lower gas mileage. It takes two people to left. I would have kept it even knowing it covered my subwoofer in the Rubicon HardRock but without Keys, it is useless to me. Push button combo lock would be improvement as well if they raised it up 1/2 to allow for subwoofer sound.

Fit great in the back of my wife’s suburban. It does squeak a bit during driving but we don’t mind. Seems to be built well and is working great.

Pretty nice - definitely fills up the back of my Wrangler Unlimited, with a little space on the sides. Installation is a bit weak though - the included brackets did attach well to the D ring / buckle points behind the rear seat, though I did have some flat washers due to the factory hardware bottoming out before getting tight. The rear problem is using the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the box - the front two (closest to the tail gate) don't bite into anything - literally go into plastic - and the two further back wouldn't grab with the self-tapping screws they included with the kit. I replaced them with M6 bolts, washers, and nylock nuts, which tightened down nicely. I'm thinking about drilling another center hole, closer to the back but still over the sheet metal and adding another bolt. Still, feels pretty secure and would be a PITA to break into, which is my main reason for buying it (and it'll hold quite a bit).Lock feels pretty good - mid grade in terms of "pop-ability", and I imagine the flush rings on the top will come in handy - they are pretty heavy duty.Probably'd give it a 3.5 if half stars were an option - will do the job, but not perfectly.

Works just as expected. It says to permanently install it but i found using the existing mounting points both on the box and in my wrangler that if i connect the two with ratchet straps that i get the same no movement result with the option of removal when i want it. Great product. Bit on the expensive side but no regrets here.

Received box in good shape but damaged on corners when opened . Won’t be ordering again

The one in the picture is inaccurate, I actually ordered the large one that takes up the entire back trunk of the jeep (floor). I love the box, the nut on the bolt that holds the drawer shut comes loose sometimes so the drawer will shift open and closed while I'm driving until I tighten the nut back down on it. I will also place a 5L oil container in front of the drawer to keep it from sliding out and banging against my back door when the bolt comes loose. That can be annoying... but other than that I love the storage space!

The box's great for locking the open jeep. Heavy and sturdy build, easy to install, but the sliders in the box rattle pretty badly. The worst part is that there is a squeak that appears to be coming from the door of the drawer coming into contact with the housing. I have contacted Smittybilt to find out if they know about it and about a fix for it. Every time I let me foot off the accelerator or apply brakes, it squeaks like a stuck pig. If I can't fix it, I will take it out and return it for a zero star. If that can be fixed, it would be 4 stars. 5 stars without the rattle (but I can at least live with it.)
