Howard Miller 800-202 Metro Mantel Funeral Cremation Urn-At Peace Memorials

I bought 2 of these-one for my dad who recently passed and one for my mom who was still with me but in a different urn. I’m not sure where their final resting place will be but for now, they’re in my family room in these picture frame urns. They fit right in with the other family pics and you cannot tell it’s a cremation urn. Great alternative for us. Great quality too.

shipping took a little bit but this item was exactly what i wanted. My ONLY complaint is that the back end doesn't screw in. For the price you don't want to worry if your loved ones ashes will fall out if you move the urn a certain way. A more secure closure would have been ideal. I may add my on little something to keep this from happening. Still not a complete deal breaker. It's a lovely urn

The funeral home wanted almost $400 for this same urn. Luckily it was unavailable through them so I went looking for it online. There's not much to it. It feels like it's made out of MDF with a veneer applied to it. After looking through the catalog the funeral home had I feeling an urn in general is one of those WAY overpriced items. There is maybe $15 worth of material put into this urn. Thankfully it just sits on the shelf so I don't think it will fall apart per say but for $200 you'd think they would at least make it out of some decent wood.
