Learning Resources Cooking Up Sentences Game, 2-4 Players, Ages 7+

The game play is great and very educational. We played with a few kids, age ranges 6-13, and all of the kids learned something new or brushed up on their grammar.

A little confusing.

I love this game. Easy and fun to play with my students. I really recommend it to people improving their english grammar skills

I bought this game with the intention of introducing/teaching/reinforcing the parts of speech for my three girls. Looking at it, I thought it would be outstanding. And it's not horrible, I just find one major issue with it... It's a little confusing.Before play, you choose a recipe that dictates what parts of speech you must find to complete your sentence. That's great. But at the same time you are collecting pieces for every other space you land on even if it's not on your recipe. You can use those extra pieces to make your sentences more interesting, but in reality, it complicates things.For future play, I think we will do away with the "extra" pieces and only pick up pieces if it belongs in our recipes. And if the words we pick up don't make any sense for our sentence, then we will have to wait until we land on that part of speech again to pick a new word.

Way too complicated for 6th graders. I had to rework it and change it. I should have returned it. Blah.

I don't like to be negative, but this game is a snoozer and a confusing for the kids. We did not like it at all. We'll be donating this one to the library.

Very useful for middle school English classMany students feel like difficult to make sentences, but they are very fun and happy by using Sentence Building Dominoes.Thanks a lot.

We have loads of fun in our homeschool classroom with this game. It's a nice change of pace when the routine gets stale.

Realmente los materiales son de excelente calidad. El envío fue bastante rápido, todo llego en perfectas condiciones y tiempo. El juego apenas lo utilizaré en mi salón de clases pero realmente sé que a mis alumnos les encantará, recomiendo ampliamente dicho material para las actividades lúdicas.

Great game!

I needed an activity that would engage my individual learners for about 30 minutes and this game does so. It really depends on whether the learner is used to playing family board games as those that don't (and like online games) are not able to get the most from the resource without a lot of support and persuasion.I felt that each of the recipe cards needed a tick box so that the child could recall the part of the sentence he/she had collected. In addition, it would be helpful if the reminder about each part of a sentence (i.e. verbs, nouns etc.) were on cards by each child rather than on the inside of the box (which has to be propped up on the table).It saved me time making a game but was quite expensive for what it is.
