Simply Outstanding! Just buy it already..
Update: I've now put 23,000 strokes on my machine and love it more than ever. My health has dramatically improved since purchasing this device. The device functions flawlessly - no creaks/squeaks/issues of any kind. Perfect, fluid, stroke every time. I love the sound of the water and everything about the experience. I'll update again at 100,000 strokes. I am currently putting about 10km per day on this rower and it handles my workout like a champ.I honestly feel like this is the best rower you can buy within this price range. The design is simply terrific! Here's what I love about it:-Extremely comfortable, memory like foam seat. Your butt is in luxury when you use this thing.-Nice curve handlebar designs. Again.. very generously padded handle bars, very easy on your hands, and ergonomic to grip. Fantastic!-Smart computer that auto turns on AND OFF! (unlike other Sunny models). Seems very good for the average user.-Foldable design .. fantastic. Very nice on space and I much prefer it to the "stand-up" models due to a low ceiling where I'm using this piece.-Non pivoting foot holds. I've tried both types and I now realize that the pivot style is a major issue for proper form.-Assembly... very good instructions. I do recommend using your own tools however but assembly was great. No hassle/headaches at all trying to figure out what went where.-Resistance .. This device has a fantastic resistance at level 12 (max). I've tried the Obsidian Sunny model at MAX and could easily go 15-20 minutes at full blast. On this model.. I can do about 6 minutes before I'm pretty winded. The resistance on this model is just fantastic and more "future-proof" as you become better/stronger over time.-Intelligent non-leak design ... it appears to be in place by pressure and plastic molding that won't let it move. I don't see how this thing could possibly leak... I've seen people complain that their bolts have rusted/leaked on various models.. I don't think this will ever be a problem with this unit. You get an incredible workout after just 10-15 minutes.Overall, I really love it and recommend this highly! If you are wondering if it is worth the extra money.. YES! YES! YES! Spend the extra 200$ on this model.. it's worth it.Con- They do not include water tablets.. weird but I can order these separately... Overall, 5 Stars easy for this product.

Sturdy enough for big people
This arrived so carefully packaged that it took some doing to unpackage it. Everything was taped to everything else turning it into a giant block of styrofoam to disassemble. Once it was unpackaged the assembly was straightforward. (Small manual tools are provided but using real tools makes it easier.) As other reviews mention, it’s quite sturdy which was a huge selling point. I’m 270 lbs, and it doesn’t feel shaky at all while I’m rowing. It would definitely hold someone bigger than me.In contrast the display is this rather sad little plastic thing that feels even cheaper than the calculator I had in 5th grade. If you plan to do something more than time your rowing, it won’t really provide much data & honestly while attaching it to the rower I was pretty sure I broke it as I can hear something rattling inside. It still lights up & shows time, spm & distance, plus a highly doubtful heart rate. If you want real data for serious training, this isn’t the rower for you. If you want a stable well made rower for daily exercise, it’s a good deal.

Light Resistance
Nice and smooth functionality, I just wish tension could be increased. Filled the tank as much as allowed and it still feels like a light pull

Made with big people in mind
I'm 6'4" with my shoes on and am closer to 400lbs than not. This thing is solid.......solid! I was shocked at how well it was built. I looked at a ton of rowers and reviews and I'm so glad I chose this one. Now, if things change, I will update my review. This is a very well made machine.Cons:The dang thing is so low to the ground, but that is just a fact of almost all rowers. Am thinking of building a platform to get it up a little higher. (Not worth removing a star for)There is no ability to turn up the resistance as there is a maximum amount of water that can go in to the machine. Now, I've never had or used a rower before, so maybe this is normal. It's probably not made to build muscle as it is more for cardio....I don't know. (Also not worth removing a star for)The seat is very sturdy, almost to a fault, almost. It's a bit stiff, not a super coushy on my tushy lol. I'm certain that will change as time goes on, and it also seems like I could modify it with a different seat at some point. (Not worth removing a star)

Fell apart
This broke after less than 50 uses. The factory assembled handlebar fell apart mid workout and the rope that connects it disappeared into the main housing which was also factory assembled, so I will have to take the whole thing apart if I ever want to use it again.

Nice for an At-Home Exercise Routine
Pros: It is smooth, quiet, and easy to use.Cons: the foot plates/straps are not made for small feet (Womens size 7)Quasi-con: will not hold a tablet in protective case well. We have found ways to support tablets for music/movies while rowing.

Regardless of "400lb" rating unit isn't for larger people
Not sure how so many rated this unit at 5 stars unless you are 5'10 250 pounds or lower. This unit is super low to the ground and very difficult to get on and off of. I asked my 5'5 140 Lb wife to use it and provide feedback and her only complaint was how low it is. So Imagine someone who is 6'3 trying to get on and off this unit? See picture where seat is same height as my ankle!Disclaimer: I cycle often and can ride 20-30 miles on a hybrid bike and also I'm only 10 years removed from Division 1 College football. The foot spacing is way too close for a person weighing 300Lbs and up. If marketing to larger folks spread out the foot rest about 2 more inches.Assembly: Not too difficult at all, I was pleased with it honestly. However use your own tools (Someone else said that). Took 20-25 minutes.Overall unit: Pretty nice unit for an average size person. If I were 6'0 275 then I would give a 5 star rating but the 400 Lb rating makes you think there are modifications other than a slightly larger seat and Heavier middle bar.Nice unit but not perfect, my Father wanted to purchase one and I recommended a stationary bike as he's 6'4 and 65 years old. No way he could get up and down.
