Lovely read.
If your child likes the cartoon they will love the book. The story is about Nelly and Nora making their way home from the beach on a windy day. There is a cut out windmill to make on the last page.

sent the wrong book
This is the second time, the first time I thought it was me that made the mistake but alas no. I ended up with powerpuff girls which is not Nelly and Nora and the books were second hand and the cover was creased

Nora and Nelly brave the windy weather - with a little help from their friends
Sisters Nora and Nelly are at the beach near their family holiday home when the two of them decide to make the most of the weather and head down to the beach and build a sand fort. They notice that the weather changes and the clouds in the sky start moving fast. Then the wind comes up and the little birds in the sky are even struggling to fly. They decide to run up the steps on the beach to make their way home. Along the way they realise how strong the wind is and try different ways to keep themselves from falling over. They hide behind the stone wall, then they decide to crouch down on their hands and knees and this helps, for a little while anyway. They have so much fun and even start rolling around.Soon they find they are getting tired so decide to stop and feed the sheep with the carrots that Nelly had been keeping in her pocket. The girls notice how the sheep like to stay together and huddle together which makes it easier for them to not get blown over by the wind. They decide to copy the sheep and snuggle up close and continue their journey home. They walk very slowly and suddenly they hear "BAA" the sheep were following them and are going to help with walk home. The sheep, together with Nelly and Nora make their way to the little girls home. After thanking the sheep and petting them, they make their way indoors and away from the windy weather. The back of the book has a page showing you how you can make your very own cut out windmills. All you will need is a pair of scissors, pencils with erasers, drawing pins or pearl headed pins. There are step by step instructions and 4 paper cut outs to make 4 different windmills. This is a very sweet and lovely book that children will enjoy. The illustrations are colourful, easy to follow and the story is uncomplicated and a nice story for children to follow and enjoy.Thank you to the publishers Walkers Books for sending me a complementary copy of this book and I will be passing it on to my daughter to read to the children at the school where she works. They are roughly 8 an 9 years old and I am sure they will enjoy it very much.
