Great catcher's helmet! Better than the baseline ones. Worth the price!
Starting a new position this season and I did not want my child sharing a helmet. All that sweat, yuck! We looked long and hard for a quality helmet that was red and didn't cost a fortune, though this is still quite a bit of money. I know you can get an entire set for the price of this helmet, but it's worth it! The helmet that comes in the base level kits that come in a box for around this price just don't have the quality that this helmet has. In the other helmet my child's face was squished and had limited visibility and hearing. My child loves this helmet. The first thing that was noticed was how his face wasn't squished and he could see and hear much better. It is also lighter than the other helmets, but that does not compromise the durability and protection of it. I love that the padding comes out so that we can wash it when it's been especially hot. The helmet seems very well made. I really like how the front of the helmet comes down a little lower and the chin seems much better protected versus other standard kit helmets.My child loves this helmet and we are happy with it so far.

Good helmet
It fits big heads comfortably. My son is very critical of every item we buy for him but he likes this one. It looks cool too.

doesn't compare to Mizuno
i purchased this, the Mizuno G4 Samarai, and the Rawlings Velo2. This came in 2nd place with good padding, but the sight lines seem to cause me to dip my head all the time. Also would have liked more padding on the sides. Chin and head padding was good, although this specific helmet came with the padding a little deformed.
