The Princess Bride: A Counting Story

I bought this book and was a little disappointed with the simplicity and lack of a story but my kids are crazy about it. It’s really a cute book!

This isn't just a counting book. It's a kissing book. But someday you may not mind so much. You can start with "The Princess Bride, by S. Morgenstern, chapter 1," and depending on your ability to quote the movie and your baby's current attention span, you can spend a few seconds or like a half hour reading this book. My 11 month old picks it up on his own now, turns to page "8 jeers" and says "boo! boo!" I couldn't be prouder. This is very well done.

We love the movie and this book adds a layer of nostalgic fun while teaching the little one how to count.

I grew up watching the princess bride and I’ve always enjoyed it. I bought this for my nephew and niece. They lost interest in the book pretty fast. My mother, however absolutely loves it. Anything related to the princess bride makes her very happy :) she keeps the book at her house. I honestly don’t know if she’s going to give it back to the kids…lol

Do you want to spend about $10 on a book that literally just counts to 10? No. But do you need a Princess Bride book to count to 10 with your kids while being nostalgic for your own childhood? Yes. Each number is associated with something in the movie, and while it is a super short read, it is fun and brings back good childhood memories.

The Princess Bride is my daughter's FAVORITE movie of all time!!When I found this book she said I had to buy it for my little grandson (her nephew) to introduce him to the movie.It is the perfect size for his little hands and introduced him to all the fun characters!!

Bought this for my oldest stepdaughter who is expecting her first child in January. She lives this movie!Sturdy, strong, thick book.Cute counting pages with beautiful graphics/illustrations!I know she and my future grandchild will love it! :)

My 18-month old son LOVES this book because we have little "games" we play for each page, but otherwise, it isn't a story, it's just really a counting book. And many of the pages they clearly struggled to find a theme (ex. "9 animals" with just pictures of 3 types of animals from the book/movie). The pictures are lovely but the content is lacking.I also wish 6 wasn't for "6 fingers", only because my son has been learning to count "5 fingers" so it just confuses him.

This book is so precious to me, as The Princess Bride is my favourite movie.

While the artwork is gorgeous, this isn't a 'counting story' at all! It is just the numbers. I preordered this in February because I LOVE the Princess Bride.. this was a disappointment!
