Unfortunately I had to give this a star. The cable is short making it useless. Returning immediately. What a waste of time, effort and money!

a bit disappointed
This came quickly and seems to work But the lead from the heater to the plug is 24" long that is fine if your socket is within a few inches from you tank but most sockets are near the floor .i had to add an extension lead tothe socket .i think this should be made clear

Accurate temperature but I’ve never seen a heater glow like dearth Vader’s lightsaber.
Plugged this in my aquarium sump and once turned on the heating element was glowing red hot. This made me uncomfortable as I’ve never seen a heater glow this fiercely.The temperature was accurate but the dial to set the temperature is pretty stiff.It’s possible that I may have got one that doesn’t work correctly but I returned this.

Danger to life
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The heater filled up with water. This is very dangerous as the fuse failed to blow.

UPDATE - UNSAFE! DO NOT USE THIS THERMOSTAT!
DO NOT BUY! For the first 2 weeks it worked perfectly but now it has gone wrong and I'm convinced it overheated and killed all but one of my fish. Moisture has got into the heating element causing it to lose control of heat regulation (see attached photo). As a result I'm converting to cold water fish. It just goes to show going cheap very rarely pays!

Warm milk
Excellent. I bought this for a shepherdess unit for warming milk for orphan lambs and it has been switched on permanently since February and has never let me or the lambs down.. They drink warm milk.

Didnt work and aquarium dropped to room temp. Lucky its not winter !
Didnt work. Had it set to the correct temp but the next night i checked the tank temp with a digital thermometer and found it to be at room temp. Heater indicator light was working but no heat. Be carefull as this could cause loss of expensive fish if not checked. Spend and a little bit extra and buy a brand you trust Amazon have been great so far in terms of delivery and sorting the refund. The 1 star is for the heater and amazon service has been 5 star.
