A very solid platform for home labs
I love this box. My primary use is a home lab running virtualization and Kubernetes platforms for work and education. I own quite a few and am very happy with their performance, reliability, and very low power consumption. I can easily run several on a single UPS that could barely keep my gaming PC up for more than 15 minutes. I've tried others in this form factor but the build quality and consistency are just not up to par with Intel. For me, at least, I prefer the Nuc10 over the Nuc11. It's cheaper and can easily handle Openshift and VMWare workloads for a home lab. Very solid platform.

Fantastic Device
Loaded with 64GB of RAM and a 1TB M2 SSD, running esxi. I LOVE it. Great small form factor, doesn't use much energy, and whisper quiet. This is replacing and old Dell R710 which is the exact opposite; loud, hot, and power hungry. I'm a Network Engineer so I use this mostly for playing around and testing things, but I also run PiHole on it. VMware doesn't officially support it, so I did have to do a little manual modification to the ISO to get it running, but from what I understand they've since updated and no modification is necessary.

great Linux host!
I bought this to use as a Linux host for writing code. I couldn't be happier:* I installed 64 GB RAM, 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD. Installation was easy.* I loaded CentOS 8 stream ... the OS installed without any issue. I did have to change a BIOS setting to get the box to boot from USB.* I am running this headless, which means no monitor or keyboard after the initial setup. I connect using TigerVNC.* The box is very quiet. The fan does kick on when I am running docker images for testing, compiling code, etc., but goes back to normal once the load has tapered off.

Wonderfully Powerful
So small but so fast for Office work. Great for multi-media as well.I added 16GB of RAM, a Samsung 970EVO Plus 512k PCIe M2 SSD for drive C: and a 512k SATA SSD for drive D:Fan speeds up at times but mostly its very quiet.

Great for a small-footprint home server
NUC10i7 is perfect for home server tasks. The 10th generation now supports 64G of memory and is now six-core (with hyperthreading). It's tiny, and is quite performant for most reasonable tasks. Solid as a native Linux host, and also runs nicely on ESXi 7.Note: it's mostly silent, but the fan does spin up occasionally. It's not very loud, but you will hear the slight noise in a quiet room. This is probably not the NUC you want for your home theater setup, but as a server in your office it's perfect.Onboard storage is a bit limited, with a single M.2 slot, although this can easily scale to 2TB today. External storage is well-supported with two USB-C ports (one of them is Thunderbolt3).The onboard graphics is fine for basic use, but this is less of a concern for me as I'm using this as a server, not a workstation. Not a game machine, but for standard desktop tasks, this has tons of CPU horsepower and supports more memory than you need.

Great plex server
I cant comment about gaming etc on this item. I got this to replace the qnap little Celeron J3334 plex server. It hands plex like a champ running Fedora 37 with hardware transcoding. I have my plex still connecting to the qnap as the limited USB ports would make it a pain handling over 50TB of storage, haha. From my plex dashboard I see the CPU % around 1% or less for a 1080p video. Its in my closest so i cant say how the sound is when it gets under load but i know with 5-6 streams at once i dont hear anything from the closest so thats not putting much of a stress on it. My only complaint would be its Intel but thats because I have always built AMD systems but intel has something here.

Perfect for Plex
I spent about two weeks researching possible replacements for my old Plex server and ended up going with this since it looked like the 11th gen i7 NUCs wouldn't be coming out for a while. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with it! My old setup was an enormous gaming rig (E-ATX), which has now been shrunk down to about 1/50th the size and can fit on a shelf. The hardware upgrade was more than substantial as well; went from an overclocked 3rd gen i5 (i5-3570k) to this 10th gen i7 with Quick Sync. I'm a fan of AMD for gaming, but Intel really is the way to go with Plex.

Do not Believe this is a US market NUC
First thing I noticed is the audio jack that is in the picture is not present. I have 5 other NUCS sitting here with me right now and all of them have a nice strong aluminum encloser. This one is plastic. Now could be Intel has changed the design but several of the NUCs I have are not that old and are Aluminum Seems that it is a cheaper product then what they were before.

Powerful
I decided to add a second NUC to my home lab. Fan only gets spinning when there is a heavy load on CPU. I liked the Skull Canyon design more than this, but this one is smaller and still looks good.Installed HyperV for Lab machines. Works smoothly with a 2TB M.2 SSD (Only 1 Internal drive is available) and 64GB of RAM (2x32)Officially there is no support for Windows Server, especially LAN adapter will not be detected at all. I used un-official drivers from a Github repo (daveschafer). WiFi 6 did not work for me as well, Upload Rate was limited to 1 Mpbs. All other drivers for Windows 10 worked on Windows Server 2019.
