External storage
I need more space and this gave me plenty more. It's very quiet and WD is a great guilty and performance. It's easy to set up and download and doesn't take up a lot of space.

Good value at TB/$ for light-use drives...
I bought several of these to migrate data from older drives. I've also bought at least a couple dozen other external Western Digital hard drives from their various product lines: My Book, Easy Book, etc... These are/were generally a good deal (when I bought them in mid-2022) at just under $250 for 14 TB (about 12.7 formatted capacity). That's less that $18 per Terabyte, which is a decent value, and a LOT cheaper than what you'd pay for most ANY internal 3.5" bare hard drive (which tend to be a lot pricier per TB, though most manufacturers put fairly cheap/light duty cycle drives in their externals). They're fine for light/normal use, long-term archiving of data, etc... but if you're going to need a heavy-use storage device and just run it 24hrs/day for months or years, you should get a more durable/expensive drive.Pros: fairly reliable (I've only had a couple of these go bad ever), good value, simple shiny black caseCons: IME, tech support from WD is not great if you need it, being over 5-6TB these drives require an AC adapter for power... smaller drives can get power from USBI've bought them before, and I'll probably buy more of them in the future.

Very Solid Performer
I am very happy with my purchase of the WD Easystore. This drive is very fast which meets my needs. I have several of the 5GB drives WD drives and this drive is probably more than 50% faster.

12.7 TB after formatting.
So far I have loaded this up with a little over 3 TB of music with plenty of room to spare. It has at times ran for 18 hours a day without any problems. I just plugged it into the USB on my Windows 10 desk top pc, then went to File Explorer > This PC > then right clicked the easystore (E) > Format, and it did the rest. It went from 14 TB to 12.7 after formatting the external hard drive. I took everything off my other smaller external hard drives and put it all on this one and still have extra space for years to come. So far no problems yet with this.

RUN AWAY FROM PRICISE AUTO CORP. DEFECTIVE, AND ZERO WARRANTY AFTER 30 DAYS!!!
It is NOT plug-n-play on my computer! Have worked for 2 months trying to get it to work. Finally got it to recognize 1 TB.UPDATE: Sent it back for Warranty replacement. DENIED! They said it had been "Tamper with", which it had NOT!!! This is a drive that did NOT work, straight out of the box! I am not an electronics tech, opening it would void the warranty, I would not risk the warranty just to 'check inside'... chatted to Customer Support twice, trying to get it to work, to no avail. Contacting BBB for help!
