Great little product

I had ordered the tablet for a friend of mine and she absolutely loves it!

Someone stole my little cousin's tablet when he was visiting from Germany. We were so happy to find a better version at such an affordable price that arrived quickly, so he could keep up with his assignments AND enjoy the 15 hours flight home.

I got the tablet delivered a couple of days after my order. It is not so fast and the touchscreen is not the best responsive. Nevertheless, it meets my expectations to be functional, able to play videos, browse webs. A decent one at this price.

Installation/registration (with Samsung) was straight forward. In the end, I'm VERY happy with the tablet.Updating the OS didn't work (failed 5 times). I had to add Smart Switch to my laptop and tether to the Tab A to get OS updates to work, and after two painful download/installs, Android is now version 11 (from 9).Adding Smart Switch to both my Pixel phone and Tab A - easy. Getting them to work - not so much. It took several attempts to get Smart Switch on Pixel 4a phone and Tab A to work, but work it eventually did - all my apps moved over smoothly from Pixel 4a to Galaxy Tab A, once working.The "Help" manual on Tab A sucks - it takes 3-4 minutes just to load 1 page (90mbs/2.3mbs network connection) and the info not worthy. I finally just searched Google for answers via my laptop, with YouTube being the ultimate source. Overall, I'm a happy camper.

This was great. Kids love it. Easy to set up and work. No problems out of it.

Bought this for about a third of the price of an Apple Ipad so i'm not really complaining about the deal, but i want prospective buyers to know it is just not up to the experience they may be used to with Apple IPhones. I wanted something larger mostly as a reader since most of my reading is now digital. It does fill that role - but not in a very satisfying way. The issues don't present like hardware failures or software corruption per se and i have adjusted to the differences compared to IOS. But it is slower than my two year old Apple Iphone 8 and the interface seems more clumsy . It reminds me of a computer that is past it's prime and can't keep up with demands of the newer environment. It sticks while trying to catch up and the touch interface seems clumsy. Some apps run just plan squirrely - screen insisting on returning to the top etc. The screen quality is not bad. It works and the larger screen improves the usefulness of pics and graphics quite a bit. The particular vendor supplying this used unit seemed fine. The unit was "renewed" and arrived appearing loaded and working in all respects as new. There has been no evidence of junk software or viruses.

Perfect for my use.
