Dandelion's Dream

My grandson, Leo, simply adores this story. He is 1 1/2 and he especially loves it when the dandelion begins to change into a lion. Well done. You have made a book lover out of him!. Thank you.

It's dandelion season and buds are sprouting everywhere but, then the unexpected happens -- bit bit bit one of the buds sprouts into a real -- lion.In general, I'm not a fan of wordless picture books for the very young but this one is "too cute for words." Who wouldn't like to experience the cute little lion's adventures this spring?The charcoal colored background with bright pop's of yellow on the pages throughout made for an imaginative springtime story.

A beautiful wordless story for little ones about a flower with a powerful imagination, emotions, and a sense of adventure. Dandelion begins its journey under bright sunlight and, as the story progresses, decides to venture forth and explore the world. That journey involves dancing, hopping a train, hitching a ride on a big, soft sheep, then onto a sailing vessel to the big city. There more adventures, involving encounters with kind entities, both human and not, and a final flight of imagination. The story end as all adventures dandelions do, but I won't spoil the story. I love the final illustration and bet that many little ones with active imaginations will add great words as they follow along.

DANDELION’S DREAM is a wordless picture book. A dandelion sprouts and actually turns out to be a real-life miniature lion (with a dandelion-type mane). The Dande-lion sets out on a series of adventures: on a train, on a boat, in a car, and even in a plane. Where does the dande-lion finally end up? I’ll be honest, I am not a fan at all of wordless picture books for children. The charcoal drawings and succinct story with this book make it better than the others. However, I’m not sure how well children will comprehend the book’s message of the power of one’s imagination. Overall, better than most wordless children books for kids, but the strength of the main message is a bit confusing.
