Chef Craft Select Bottle Opener and Corkscrew, 5.5 inches in length, Nickle Plated

It broke upon first use. I suppose that's what I get for buying the cheapest option. Now I have to figure out how to open this wine bottle some other way.

The rivet holding the corkscrew to the handle popped out of the handle, presumably because the lateral force of twisting the screw into corks bent the cheap metal flange through which the rivet was mounted.

I had no idea a cork screw could be so bad. I ordered this to replace one I got as a giveaway at a trade show at least five years ago. It is so poorly made, with a ridiculously short blade and a cork pull pivot (I just made up that name but I thought you would get it) that seemed like it should bend at the joint, but didn’t. Keep looking. This is worthless.

Internal spring clip jumps out of place on first use. This clip is factory rivet positioned and will not move back into place, so broken and unusable on first use. Complete junk!

Never in my life had I thought about owning a corkscrew until for the very first time in my cheap-booze college career, someone brought over a bottle of mead for a special occasion. Well, I had no way to open that bottle but I vowed that never again would this barrier to boozing be a problem for me. So I proceeded to order 2 corkscrews, one for myself and one for the bearer of the mead. Now I have graduated to cooking with wine and just 2 days ago I used this very same corkscrew to open up a bottle of Pinot Grigio for a soup that I was making. I looked to my roommate and noted that I thought owning a corkscrew was a significant step into adulthood. He agreed. Thank you corkscrew for being a stepping stone into my future.

I have only had this for a month, so I can't really speak to its durability, but it seems definitely well made and sturdy. I call this style of corkscrew a "2 stage" corkscrew and I have adored how well they work for the past dozen years or so. I have probably uncorked over a thousand or more bottles of wine in that time and have only broken 1 cork. Yes, picking out small pieces of cork has been in my rear view mirror for a long, long time - thank you Jesus!These are at a super price and shipping was fast! Go ahead and buy 3 or 4 of them and give some to your friends who are wine newbies - they will thank you.

A primitive and simple way to uncork a bottle, after screw it in it only takes 2 easy pulls of the black handle. I used it over 10 times and there was no sign of wear or tear, I expect it to last for a few hundred of uses.

To preface, I am not a sommelier, but I am an avid beer drinker.I love the way this corkscrew feels opening a bottle opener, its not made like one of your cheap beer openers that consistently slip when grabbing the teeth of your bottle. It's perfect every time.As for wine bottle opening, I recently started getting into wine and I watched a sommelier open up a bottle of wine with one of these bad boys. Needless to say, I fell in love with the manual motion of opening up a bottle and I had to make the purchase!Cheers!

Ce tire-bouchon est très facile d'utilisation grâce à l'option à 2 crans. J'avais un tire-bouchon plus complexe d'une grande marque et il n'a jamais fonctionné aussi bien que celui-ci. J'aurais dû l'acheter bien avant ! Je recommande totalement :-)
