I got these lights to replace cove lighting at a house I purchased that previously had long tubes of fluorescents that were flickering and failing. This product was perfect as a replacement and also granted me the ability to have dimmable lighting. With the inline rectifier and 110v capability, I didn’t have to purchase a special controller to have dimming capabilities. A regular dimmer switch was more than sufficient to achieve the results I wanted. These lights put out a lot of lumens with a very small footprint and dimming is linear with an excellent “lowest” setting that was very dim. I liked the lighting so much, I even added vibe lighting to my guest bedroom and will do more in the master bedroom when I get to my remodel at the end of this year. Strongly recommend Shine Decor lighting and will update this review if anything changes.One downside: since these lights are so efficient at low power and some dimmer switches maintain a phantom power in the line even in the “off” state, I found that Lutron Maestro dimmers are not compatible with this product because after you switch the light off, there’s still a soft glow coming from the strip. For this reason, I had to revert to a mechanical dimmer to completely sever the power connection and avoid this phantom draw from the switch and glow that doesn’t allow the light to fully turn off.

The reason I gave 1s to adhesion and remote control was because it does not come with any type of two sided tape(you have to buy your own) and I did not get the one with remote. The rest was great ... I do wish they had more cut points and a good way to direct wire.... with some Mickey Mouse crap you can direct wire but it would not be code in the United States.

VERY bright lights, installed them on a covered boat dock with a remote (don’t want to leave on when I’m out with the boat or it would attract tons of bugs to the dock at night). I think you could see these lights from outer space.

Great product. Looks very beautiful in my indirect lighting behind crown moulding.Bad instructions. Every instructions says that there is a cut mark to show where you can cut it but mine had no cut marks. Better user guide or a user video with actual demo will help.

Love the color (daylight accurate AFAIK). Doesn't blink of flash (Although AC wall power, has a rectified and powers the LEDs with DC voltage) so good lighting for filming. Had a power unit go bad, but they sent me two replacements. I'm lighting a 6200+ sq foot building with one strip on the floor right now (under construction). It is bright enough to work after dark. No shadows since it is so long. Really awesome lights! I have 5 strips of these now.

I love this product. I bought this to install cove lighting in our master bedroom and it turned out amazing. The material and construction is robust, not cheaply made and the light is ridiculously bright. I had to cut the strand as we only needed about 36’ and had no issues doing so. It would be nice if there was an adapter at the end of the strand to allow for hard wiring as opposed to a plug with the rectifier built into the first couple inches of the strand so you could choose hard wire or plug in but all in all a great heavy duty product that is well constructed.

We were looking for a strip that we could lay into a molding indirect lighting feature. Perfect color temp and dimmable to 1% with a smart dimmer. Great lighting, easy install well made.

Made such a huge difference to lighting an indoor space, but died after about four months of use. Bought replacement fuses just in case that was an issue, but it wasn't. Surprised that something supposedly designed for outdoor use fails in an indoor environment.Update: ordered a new power cable, and they work again! Unfortunate that the original died and there was no option to contact the company through Amazon for a replacement, so paid full price. Seems that the AC/DC power adapter needs more heat dissipation to avoid burning out (hard to imagine it was the ambient temperature's fault as it burned out in February in Calgary which is not exactly a warm month...ambient temperatures in the shop were mostly around 17º); might have just been a fault with the original one though.

These lights are very good. They should say that you can order a dimmer to control light output. My backyard was too bright at night.

used this product to light a public space at our construction job site under the hording running along the entire front of site, excellent!

Totally surprised on how bright they were.
