Dark haunted corner no more!
I have been looking for a couple years for the right plug in light solution to all the dark corners in my house. I wont have to vacuum around a floor lamp and I love the diffused light; no pin point bright spots. The dome is a sturdier plastic and the frame is metal, both are better than I expected since this was the cheapest plugin light I have looked at. Most were $100+. About to order 3 more.

...
Just what i needed. Used a 60w equivalent LED bulb in the picture. Installation bracket could be improved. If you overtighten the bracket install, it moves the holes for the diffuser oh so slightly that it becomes a little difficult to screw in. So the bulb changes will be a b!+(#.

These are great lights so far
I ordered 3 of these lights to go up in 3 corners of my livingroom. We don't have an overhead light so it's been really difficult to see well at night. With these lamps we can view our world in a much better light. Another nice quality about them is that they are up and out of the way, not taking up any floor space. The cords feel like they have a cloth coating on the outside. I don't like that part too well as it's a dirt catcher that's going to be hard to clean as some of the cord is on the floor. It will also be difficult to clean with them in place and to paint when we decide to do that. But we really enjoy the light that they put ou. Installation was extremely difficult, but my husband managed to do it for me.

Hardware / Screws DON'T line up! Quality control!?
First the installation should have taken 10 minutes. Because screw holes in cover did not line up with frame I had to fight with/bend the cover to force the holes to line up well enough to get the short screws into the frame. After installing the 2nd unit I had a little better method for getting the screws in and that installation was a bit easier. Again, the job should have taken ten minutes, but because of struggling with the alignment, putting up 2 of these took almost 2 hours!Positive: The frame is a sturdy metal design and the frosted cover is also, not just a cheap piece of plastic, but a nice cover.Once up it looks ok and lights up the corner nicely - depending on light bulb of choice. Most walls are textured, so light shines through that uneven texture - which looks a bit cheap. A little bit of foam/rubber around the edge of the frame would have taken care of that. It is something I may do in the future; however, I would have to take the unit down which would be a pain to put back up again. Moreover, because the screws did not align I probably did some cross threading and may have ruined the threads in the metal frame. Therefore, the lights maybe a one time install - as opposed to what the manufacturer says that it can easily be moved to a different room. I could just return them - AMAZON - but they are up now, and if I took them down I would have to patch/paint the installation holes...Anyway...I have spent enough time on this product and the review!Bottom line: Because of the problems with the installation - NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE HAZZLE!

The dark screws are a problem but they’re still okay lights
I bought 3 of these for my living room because the room was so dark with only my floor lamp. I really want a high light so these seemed like a good option. I like that the don’t take up floor space. So, now that they’re up I’m pretty satisfied. They take care of the lighting need. I learned the lower wattage was better. Go with the 60 watt LED daylight equivalent. Anything higher than that and you’re blinding yourself. I kept getting this nasty, sick feeling with the 75 equivalent daylight bulbs I had. The “warm” LED bulbs make the light too yellow so go with “daylight” for a clean, neutral light.Problem. The listing says the frame is metal and the shade is glass. No. The exterior shade is a definitely plastic. A frosted glass would’ve been so much nicer.Problem. The screws to hold the shade onto the frame are such ugly, ugly eyesores. Since the whole unit is white the color of the screws really stand out. I wish they had at least provided white screws to try to soften this appearance. It could’ve really reduced the tacky, cheap impression it sort of gives off when one turns off the lights to enjoy the daylight from the window. So, I’m mostly happy with these lights. I still need to pick up some white screws. I’m really happy I can see in my living room in the evenings.

Unique lighting
Overpriced for what they're but cool looking nonetheless, highly recommend you use a smart bulb to control the light setting

Worth the price
You might think 80 bucks for a lamp is a lot, and it is. But, after installation, I have no regrets. It looks great, and gives the room the light it needs. Be fancy and hook it up with a smart outlet to control the ambiance in the room with your phone or tablet.
