Michael: From the Case Files of S.P.O.O.K.S

I bought this book because I was interested in the subject matter. My husband was a supervisor at the police department and I’m friends with the investigating officers, whose names are chronically misspelled. This is the worst editing job I’ve ever seen on a book. Spelling, grammar and punctuation are worse than a sixth grader would do. I can’t believe any reputable publisher would accept this, let alone sell it.

The book is an amazing piece of work. Tracy was able to take all of the information we gave her along with deposition transcripts, photos, interviews with the Wheatridge Sheriff’s office investigators and of course the investigation of our property and weave it into a gripping factual tale. It really is as grisly as she represents it. I thank her for at least remembering the lost souls in her book and I’m very grateful the S.P.O.O.K.S. team came out and hopefully gave the spirits peace because they were acknowledged. As a side note, after their investigation, the pup stopped being troubled and I never saw anymore shadows in our home. The funk at the farm continues.

Held my interest but did anyone edit this? Receive (I before e unless after c) brush and rush are 2 different towns, to and too, quotation marks facing wrong direction -all stood out and made the book seem not professional. With edits, I’d give 4 stars.

Not the best written book but lots of information and history. Did leave some unanswered questions but then they are questions no one will ever know the answers to.

Poorly written - spelling and grammar errors alike. Knowing about this outside of the book (connections with the area) made it hard to read. Was looking for more facts and less spooky ghosts!
