An alkaline filter cartridge (2.5” dia x 10" L) that goes into a 10" standard filter housing (e.g., Pentek housing, ASIN: B003VT79VA). This is NOT an inline filter. This filter by EDEN has a service life of one year or 2,000 gallons and a maximum flow rate of 0.5 gym. The weight of the filter is 1 lb 11 oz. The filter contains a special blend of media that includes: ceramic balls with bio energy, far infrared, mineral and alkaline properties, Mineral Stone, and Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) material. The filter re-mineralizes and raises the pH of your purified water by at least 1.5 to 2.5 points. Initial testing of pH showed a reading in the range 9.7- 10.1. With use and time, the pH will go down gradually. To add this filter cartridge to a reverse osmosis (RO) system, you need a standard housing with fittings. This filter is incorporated in Eden’s 5-stage system RO5-100-ALK (ASIN: B008LH9SBQ). Purified warer, after going through the alkaline-mineral-ORP media, will have a higher pH, higher mineral content, and lower ORP. When using this filer after an RO system, it is not uncommon for some customers to complain about taste at first. We recommend adding bleach (1 tsp) to the inlet of the housing that will contain this filter cartridge to disinfect the media. This may be needed only once at first use. Media in filter housing can be mixed if the partition moves. The separation of the different media is meant for appearance only. As for function, it will work perfectly as water flows and comes into contact with media balls regardless of their position. Ph moved .5 twards the alkaline side. The water pressure did dropped significantly I installed it due to its small holes at the bottom of the filter restricting water flow. I had high hopes for this filter, but it's just not what they claimed.

Very nice smooth taste as well
raises the pH very well. I use 2 filters in sequence and I'm able to go from 6.5 to 10.5 and hold that number for several weeks. Very nice smooth taste as well.

I swear by bio ceramics
People just don't understand how powerful it is to drink bio ceramic water (hence there is only 4 reviews on this product). It puts minerals and antioxidants in the water while breaking down the water molecule so that it can actually go threw the blood cell and hydrate you. Regular water is either acidic or dirty that includes bottled water as well. On the left (in the picture) we where drinking a ph of 7.5 now thanks to this filter we are drinking a ph of 10. The higher the ph the less water you have to consume because it's powerful enough to flush your system of free radicals and toxins that build up in our bodies everyday. So please just buy the filter and change you and your family's lives. You will feel better. Look better and never drink any other water again. Enjoy!
