Works for small and large taps
This is a good quality tap handle. Several features are not talked about in the description, so this is very underrated and misunderstood.Pros:- Works with small taps (M2x0.4 and 2-56 taps). There is a second area buried down in the jaw that works with the smaller taps.- Works with larger taps (3/8-16 and larger, not sure how large)- Handle has detents at center and each end.- Handle can be removed simply by moving past the end detent. Spring plunger for detent stays put.- Has 3/8 socket on the back (remove handle to allow full depth)- Good quality feelCons:- Handle is too short to tap with larger taps, not able to produce enough torque. You can't have it both ways ;)- At $25ish, its a bit more expensive than comparable products, but they don't have the ability to work with as large of a range of taps (small to large).100% would buy again and recommend to others.

T handle
Lots of torque to cut new threads with this handle.

It is NOT UNIVERSAL - buyers beware
I was very excited to buy this tap handle as it was half price comparing to local Home Depot. To my disappointment it fails to hold Dewalt 6-32 tap drill. The jaws have too big opening and drill just slips. It is possible to mount it with some fiddling but only for short time and it can slip anyway. Disappointed that Dewalt could not design tap holder for its own tap drills :(. It will work well for larger taps though.
