Medieval Cats Coloring Book for Cat Lovers

I enjoy looking at medieval tapestries and manuscripts, and I LOVE cats, so what could be more fun than a coloring book featuring both?! The drawings are simpler versions of drawings based on real subjects. I had a lot of fun looking up the drawings to match my colors to theirs, or to see if what I did matched at all. The drawings are single-sided, so there is no bleed-through of your pen, and the pages are easy to remove for hanging on the fridge. Both older teens and adults will enjoy this coloring book by Laura Vocelle!

This is a truly delightful coloring book. As an art historian, these unique and accurate renderings present an opportunity to re-envision the original artist's work in brilliant or muted colors. For a cat aficionado, they are just plain fun to do! Thanks to another reviewer for the suggestion to make copies first. I copied mine to a lightweight watercolor paper.

I would recommend this book for cat lovers as well as anyone who enjoys coloring. The clever and whimsical drawings are detailed, but simple enough for kids to tackle as well, and I love that the designs are based on actual medieval manuscripts and tapestries. As a needlepointer, I particularly like this style, and I find that coloring is a great way to try out color combinations for my needle art. Best of all, it is relaxing and fun, and when completed each page becomes its own little work of art!

I love this coloring book. It's perfect for adults or children. I received it as a gift from a very dear friend. Having lived previously in Egypt and Cyprus, I've seen lots of art work with medieval cats and it was wonderful receiving this coloring book. It took me back in time.
