PX-16 Offshore Racing RC Boat

I got this along with a 23" Balaenoptera Musculus from Amazon too see which would be a better choice in mid class RC I have seen quite a few and own 24 boats from Walmart too Race class and Enthusiast. This boat did well against the Blaenoptera as it sank the third time out. It is pretty big but not has heavy as most bigger boats. The reason being it is made from thinner plastic much like packaging you see for your camera battery or the ridiculous stuff you need scissors to open. It plains well and handled great but it did arrive broke as the power wire was broke from the circuit board. But I soldered it back fairly easily. It turns very fast and surprised my wife with speed. It's a nice midgrade RC worth the f50ty d0ll$r price tag. Just be prepared to resolder some connections.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT waste your money on this boat!!! I ordered this for my teenage son regardless of the poor reviews, just trying to give the company a chance. DON’T!!! The boat doesn’t have a long battery life and my son maybe ran the boat 3-4 times Christmas Day and then the shaft that goes to the propeller broke and started rotating with the propeller out the back side of the boat. Notified the company of the defect, was asked if parts would work (I guess so I could fix it myself, unsure), and then told to return it since it was a problem going inside the hull of the boat with the shaft. Returned it free of shipping and was only refunded the price of the boat, which I totally get had it been our fault. Since it was a manufactured defect/poor product design, I feel I should have gotten the initial S&H refunded as well like MOST companies do!!! Notified them so they could right their wrong and was informed that shipping was “non-refundable.” So I am writing this review to inform you to not waste your time, money or disappoint a child on Christmas Day or birthday with a broken boat or boat with poor manufacture design/defects. We will try a Traxxas boat instead.

People need to lighten up about products they order online. I've been an Amazon customer for over a decade and rarely have I had problems with a defective item. Stop whinning and return it. And, most importantly, if you can afford a more expensive model go for it Daddy Warbucks and lighten up.I've ordered at least 10 remote control boats from Amazon this summer. I only had problem with one. They sent the replacement boat overnight to our summer home in Michigan and all was well. There's more important things in life to be "upset" about. And yes, I'm studying for my Masters in Psychology so I tend to be an online therapist as well, :-)

It wasn't wat I expected. It looks good from the box but it didnt perform well. lacked power and speed,it leaked and the hull was to weak to pound the wakes. The whole system was weak ,overall it blows?

Electronics are garbage, hull is only thing worth saving. Great to build a fast light cutom boat. I'm running a hobbyking f3 outboard with a hobby king 90A esc on 6s lipo, 48.64 mph. Great hull but it is thin so reinforce where needed.

The first boat was defective with a misalligned prop shaft. The second boat arrived in a sealed Amazon box, but the factory box was open and the boat was used (I have pictures). The rudder was bent from improper packing, scuff marks all over product, grease from the motors on the inside of the boat and one motor inoperable. The third boat was dead out of the box. I am very disappointed that I have gone through this three times. I helped my ten year old son purchase this with his own money and did not have super high expectations based on the price point. I did expect working merchandise. I suggest taking the product off the website.

Overall the boat is great for the price. Packaging was good. The only problem was the antenna for the remote and the plastic tube for the boat antenna was missing. Not really worth the trouble of sending back just an inconvenience.

had weak right motor out the box.need some extra glue near shafts.takes on lil water could be faster with brushless motor better electronics. Also looks very well decaled and life like to a real catamaran racing boat.
