Memorex CD Jewel Cases - Clear Tray - 10 Pack
So much better than the poorly-constructed Maxell - 12 Pack of CD jewel cases (see my brutally honest review). Until the last few months, I was able to purchase this item at a local Kmart store - but that location now carries the Maxell brand. So, I had to order this 10-pack of Memorex CD Jewel cases off of this site. I had to pay a little extra, but it was very much worth it. I've heard a few patrons complain of how - when you go to remove the middle tray - it often cracks. That might be true - but if you're extremely careful (like I am) and take your time - you should definitely get the hang of it. Remember, if the middle tray does crack a little - it's a lot better than the entire CD case breaking and / or becoming useless like the worthless Maxell brand does (I guarantee it). I do sincerely hope that physical copies of CD's are never phased out - as most of us consumers over the age of forty prefer them. I mean, downloads are sometimes okay - but give me a physical copy any day + a Memorex jewel case to store them in (if necessary). Highly recommended.

Medium sturdyness Cases - work well to store clear stamps
I bought these to store my clear photo-polymer stamps in instead of leaving them on the flimsy thin pieces of acrylic that they come on. All you need to do is take out the insert that holds the CD and then you have two flat surfaces to which your stamps can adhere to just as well as the acrylic blocks used to stamp them with. Also makes it wonderfully easy to store them with a spine label for easy identification. No more fumbling in a drawer, box or binder. This is wonderful way to get organized and encourage yourself to utilize these stamps more readily. I am in the process of changing over many red rubber wood mounted stamps to the cling because I just love this storage method so much. No more digging through several boxes looking for the right stamp!Oh and by the way sometimes you can find the cases in clear on both sides (important to see your stamps) without the CD insert. Also DO NOT try the slim line cases as they wont work. The back piece is the CD holder and even if you found one that is not that way they are too skinny to fit stamps on both sides and still close.Have fun organizing your crafty space!

Good Purchase....
I received my CD/DVD Jewel Cases yesterday. I'm very pleased with them. Easy to assemble. I'm rather annoyed in the first place to have to purchase them. It's getting more difficult to purchase a CD without them being damaged on arrival. I don't know why the fulfillment centers don't do a better job in packing them for mailing. I miss the old days when you use to go into your neighborhood record stores to purchase a CD. You could be sure that your CD"s would not be cracked, nor damaged. You would not buy them if so, and the store would lose a sale. All things change in time. Now you buy a CD online, and then you have to buy a case for them. My how times change. I will end by saying that I'm pleased with the purchase of the CD covers.

Also great for "collecting" purposes!
I've ordered these Memorex standard CD cases three times, and found them to be ideal for replacing damaged PS1 game jewel cases. They're good and sturdy and almost identical to original Playstation 1 jewel cases. The tray is clear, and has a center spindle thing that's closer to the style of original PS1 cases than many of the other kinds I've tried (which tend to be cheap-looking versions of the same kind of spindle, or ones with an open center and the teeth surrounding it). I hope Memorex continues to make these, and never starts skimping on the quality. As somebody who collects games, having these in reserve is almost essential.

The trays crack very easily.
I completely agree with Jon Tulloch. Unless you're buying these cases for the top and bottom pieces, you should look elsewhere. The very first tray I tried to remove from the bottom piece, cracked at the corner! Now, I've done this dozens (if not hundreds) of times; not one tray had ever cracked. The material used in these cases appears to be lighter and thinner than standard, resulting in a flimsy case. Of course, just because this product has the same name as the product another customer has purchased, it doesn't mean they are the same product. It's entirely possible that this product was made more sturdily in the past, and it's been cheapened to save money (like so many other products). This could explain the different experiences reported by different customers.

Memorex CD Jewell Cases
Was pleased to see that someone had the standard sized cases available. I needed to replace several of my CD cases as some of them had gotten broken. Product was delivered on time and in excellent condition. I tried to order some from another company/manufacturer and they came broken in the unopened package. I had to return those. Was extremely pleased with these! Thank you!

Its was the only one at the moment! No choice!
Well, I was somewhat happy because it came well preserved no cracked jewels cases from other buyers. I was looking for clear all over and another brand but amazon did not have others instead this brand. I did see other sellers but I like to buy directly and sold by Amazon in case there's a problem. My reason not giving it a 5 star is as followed:I wanted cystal clear trays front and bottom.More importantly, these cases contain label warning saying contaims a chemical lead that can cause cancer according California state law. My concerns are due you wash your hands after handling the cases. If I was you, yes these avoids paranoia when trying to have contact with food. I know we don't live in a perfect world. Its impossible so I learn to live with it and get use to it. I suppose!

Perfect
I'm in an independent metal band and we use these cases for our albums. They are perfect. I can't tell the difference between these and professional, factory CD cases. I've noticed in a lot of reviews, people complain that the cases crack when they try to take them apart. I'm pretty sure those people just don't know how to take apart CD cases. If you do it properly, (right side up first) you will not have a problem
