LOVE this cocktail book. So cute! Purchased a few copies for my friends & family that are Gossip Girl fans. Whether you are a GG fan or not, this book is great!

As soon as I saw this, I had to check it out as I was a fan of Gossip Girl from about the age of 15-16 years when I first discovered the book series by Cecily von Ziegesar, and then later I was hooked when it came to life on the screen featuring Blake Lively as our beautiful Serena and Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf. This series had us watching religiously all the dramas that unfolded on the Upper East Side of New York and then trying to figure out who our XOXO - Gossip Girl was - who loved to air the drama online and out in the world. Author Bridget Thoreson has compiled a list of favorite drinks inspired by the show. At the front of the book to it talks about the appropriate glassware for each drink from Cocktail Glasses to Highballs and Irish Coffee Glasses. Then it moves on to a list of appropriate drinks for all occasions and remember this is the Upper East Side and the world of rich and wealthy, so it's normal to drink Tequila and flavored Vodka during their high school sleepovers, and then it moves on to events like Charity Gala balls, Masquerades and then Liqueurs and Mixers. Some of the drinks include Hamptons White Party aka White Lady Cocktail to a Dirty Scandal aka Duke's Martini and the Dorm Party Sake-tini aka Sake-tini.This is the perfect guide for all fans of the Gossip Girl Fandom and those wanting to brush up on their skills of perfecting the perfect drink and skills needed to be a bartender.
