These fit as expected for their sizes - I purchased a size 6 and 8 since many reviews said to size down. Wish I wouldn't have - I actually wish I had ordered a size UP to see how the 10s would have fit.Pros:• Very flattering on me• Correct length and fit• Plenty of stretchCons:• Finish has some pokey bits that felt scratchy - if you're highly sensitive to things like this (like me), they would drive you nuts if you tried to wear them all day• Fairly thin - I could see underwear lines through them easily and they didn't necessarily feel like wearing "jeans"• Crotch area was too confining - I like a little room down there, especially for sitting down and being comfortable. These were too "up in there" in that area even when standing, so again, wouldn't recommend if you're sensitive to this type of thing.Overall, if you're usually able to throw on anything and be comfortable, these will probably be awesome for you, as they're much more stretchy and flattering than many jeans. If you're more sensitive, there are a couple of things that you may not like. I would NOT recommend sizing down.

Great price and exactly what I needed for work! Only 5'2" so I had to hem them. I found my first pair of Democracy Ab Solutions in a thrift store years ago and fell in love. Now they are the only jean I want to wear just because they are so comfortable and they don't fall down but move with you. Since I'm so short these come up above my belly button which I don't care for, but it is what it is.

Almost love these pants. Did not read the description advising getting a size down. Usually wear a 6, and although they fit, they are a bit loose and stretch, will have to order a 4 when available and on sale. Definitely would have exchanged for the right size, but tried to shrink. Only other problem is how light they are. Prefer heavier denim for my jeans but they still look nice. Love the cut, anxious to see how the smaller size fits.

These fit like a glove. No tummy bulge or muffin top. Also makes the booty look good and mine is very flat!

These jeans are very comfortable. The tummy panels help matters and the slight boot cut is flattering without being flashy. The problem is that it either runs large or has way too much stretch. Also….be sure to avail yourself of short sizing…I am 5 ft 6in…but I have shorter legs…so the regular length is going to require some tailoring for me which might effect the boot flare proportion at the bottom hem….I ordered a size 12 and I am between a 12-14 in most pants…i am returning for a 10 as I am certain the stretch will be a big issue at the end of the day

I sized down and ordered Long so I could wear with boots. Flattering fit and the waist is very comfortable.

Darlings, no one likes muffin tops or rolldown jeans that slouch their waistband down your stomach. Not all of us have flat physiques on par with Rihanna or many a Hollywood or Olympic star, much as we might like. Covid doesn't translate into time to workout for those of us practicing our sourdough starters, stuck inside from working out, or welded to our desks as essential workers on a salary. So, that much said, these are the most forgiving of jeans, and rejoice, because they aren't stinting for tall ladies, curvy ladies, or ladies who like colour in their pants.I've never heard of Democracy Jeans before, and frankly the wanderings through Amazon Wardrobe brought me here out of chance. Having a bootcut jean long enough for my 35" inseam is difficult, let alone a dark wash AND one without an obnoxious low rise. The waist-to-hip ratio I have is also difficult, since jeans that fit the widest part of me rarely fit the narrowest point without that irritating slip-down. Enter the Absolution; I don't know who designed them but they had my proportions and issues in mind. For one, they're stretchy, which is appreciated when weight fluctuates (especially at certain times of the month). The gossamer length of the front panels holds you in without obviously feeling like maternity wear or something, and the smooth lines fit beautifully for a mid-rise jean that stays where it ought to be. The waistband lies below the belly button and stays smoothly fitted no matter where you prance.And the length. Hello length. I can actually wear a jean at a proper length. If you're short, you may want to get the sample pair from Wardrobe because there could be a need for hemming. For once, I feel like the jean is made for height. I love how the leg remains fitted but not stovepipe or ultra skinny through the thigh, sweeping in a flattering arc out from the knee in a small bootcut that can accommodate hiking boots or equestrian boots with equal ease. I've tested both just to be sure. They're not a fully done flare, but the definition is there.Colours vary; I chose indigo (twice, actually), because the dark, rich ultramarine pops without getting anywhere near black. These jeans have zero whiskering, fades, ombre, or tears, and other such nonsense that interrupts the rich, lavish colour I want. Dark trouser jeans are acceptable at the office, ragged acid wash rejects from 1981 most definitely aren't, but I can get away with these and feel professional and stylish. Any additions are modest, retreating to a deep brass finish in the small pocket studs. I don't like a lot of bling on my jeans, and these provide the minimal necessary.I haven't found a reason to complain. They are thinner; if you want to wear a heavy-weight jean on a cold day, slap a thermal layer or a pair of leggings under them for extra care. However, in all other ways, they hit the bar for me.

They are super comfortable and flattering. They do stretch a little while wearing them which for me is not a concern, especially if you buy the right size for you.

The fit of this denim is awesome. Soft and stretch with a slight flare for the boot.

I love the fit of these jeans. They're soft, the waist fits well without being tight and there's great stretch to the fabric. I sized down one size.
