After we took down the Christmas tree, I missed the "glow" on the wall from it.I ordered this lamp and it is perfect !!It will take a 3-way bulb; however, I put a small 40w bulb in it and it throws the light exactly as I wanted.It's soft and produced that "glow" that we had from the Christmas tree. The height is perfect and actually softly illuminates a painting above it.It throws a light shadow on the ceiling that looks like foliage - very pretty !Item is packaged very well. Wear long sleeves when you put your bulb in because the reeds will scratch your arms.It also has a foot switch. But, I have my lamp on a timer so I'm not using it.Very, very happy with this purchase.

Could not love this more! It has the warmth I was looking for on either side of our piano, just beautiful. Exteremly well made, and came quickly ! Do not hesitate to purchase this floor lamp, you will reap the benefits each night when you put it on!

The lamp is beautiful. I use it on the first step of my fireplace as an accent light. I use a GE Stained glass 25Watt bulb and the ambience is beautiful, I gave a 3 star rating because it is not bright but I like this lamp as accent. But so the brightness is good for me. the color of the bulb really makes the bulb kind of blend in. I posted a picture of the bulb. My lamp is at my cottage so I can't access it righ now. I put my lamp on a timer so it comes on automatically every night.

The 1st one arrived with multiple broken reeds, but it was immediately replaced. It works well with my vague Caribbean/Tommy Bahama/Central American "theme". The downside is that the bulb is exposed and shines through the reeds creating an unpleasant glare. I searched extensively for a workable shade, online and in stores; tried out several "in person". Then I happened on the perfect one at a craft store (HL ?). It was meant to be decorated--the outer paper peeled off creating a pattern for one's own project. I threw that away, as the plain, white, almost megaphone-shaped (about 12" tall?) shade was ideal. I simply placed it upside down with the metal ring of the shade resting on top of the bulb. The design of the shade allows it to cover the bulb, and the metal frame holds at the perfect level. If you knock into the lamp, the shade will need straightening, but I have it in a no-traffic area so not an issue. Anyway, no more unpleasant glaring bare bulb. I use a CFL bulb which doesn't heat up so much. I do like the clear cord and pedal switch that blend into the background as much as possible.

Pretty to look at, but falls apart very easy. Way to expensive given the quality.

This is a beautiful lamp. Comes fully assembled and is very sturdy. I have it on the floor with 2 heron statues and it looks lovely. Highly recommend!
