I needed a new ballast transformer for my florescent grow-light unit. My husband had an easy time installing this one, and everything was back up and running in short order.

Light Ballast
I replaced the starter and light tube at the same time as I replaced the original burned up ballast with this new one. I did not want a shorted starter or light tube to burn up my new ballast. Worked perfectly. Mine has an FS-2 starter and a single 15 watt 18 inch light tube. This ballast has 2 mount options, side or bottom. Two speed nuts holds the ballast in place and wire nuts connect the wires.

I just wasted my money on these
I don't know if it was something else with the vanity light,or wiring,but I couldn't ever get the thing to work,I have just put in a three light lamp,with those pigtail bulbs,100 watt,and it serves my purpose.I just wasted my money on these.I am not saying there bad,I'm sure their good,I just couldn't get them to work,for my purpose.

Recieved just what was ordered.
Ballast was what I'd hoped for , replacement for burned out older ballast. A starter is needed with this system so it fit right in , two wires and done.
