Q: I received the the glass today. what kind of clips are recommended? plastic? binder clips? want to make sure i don't damage the glass or heated bed.

I used largest binder clips I could find. After clamping the plate down (I used two clips on left and right sides, one on back and one in front), remove the metal wire by squeezing it and slipping it off the binder clip. You only need to remove the one wire from topside of the plate. Make sure the clip on the front side of the plate is shifted to the right, because in my QIDI-MAX, the nozzle prints a rather long test line on the front left side. Front side of the printer is the side with the door opening.

Q: Does this have an attached metal bottom to keep it stuck to the X-Max's magnetic bed or are we expected to use clips?

No, its glass bed only and you need clips to hold all 4 sides or corners. Thanks

Q: Is there enough ajustment in the level screw/springs? Or do you adust the Z height in the machine software? Thanks.

It depends on which machine you are using. If the spring/screw under the bed has enough length for you to adjust then, it works. Or you need to have a 3mm spacer for your Z to adjust the height. Thanks
